A Day in the Ice Cream Truck! 🍧

Hi! In this video I ride along with Erik while he shows me what a day in an ice cream truck can look like! Remember to turn on the subtitles since this video is in Swedish!

As an English speaker (Canadian) I love the sound of the Swedish language! Also, the countryside of Sweden looks very much like the part of Canada I live in. The kids yelling for ice cream was so funny - same reaction from kids all over the world no matter what country lol 🤣 Thanks to you and Erik for that little slice of Swedish culture. P.S. We had Kotijäätelöauto (Hemglassbilen) in Finland, it had the same tune and colors etc. Unfortunately it ended and now we have some completely different ice cream trucks.. The Kotijäätelöauto tune is my childhood! :D

We have a similar home delivery service here in Minnesota called Schwan's Ice Cream. It started out as just ice cream but now they deliver all different types of frozen foods.

@@noelmeijer8095 Yes, there are some videos on KZbin. I take it the old cars in the ice blue livery are old Kotijaatelo cars with the music and livery changed; the newer ones are white. Unsure if the Jatskiauto tune is a traditional melody or an original compostition.

What a great day. We were told by our parents that if we heard the Ice cream van jingle he had run out of ice cream. We didn't have any this year I think it was due to covid last year.

I can remember that the Swedish Hemglass briefly operated in the UK in the 80s - 90s. Not everywhere and they were shortlived. Hemglass (and Eismann) can now be seen as a precursor to the widespread supermarket deliveries. I get my frozen food and ice cream from Iceland and they deliver it free of charge.

I love the idea of ice cream for dogs! I know a beautiful beagle pup who is having her 1-year birthday party next week; I wish I had some for her! When I was a kid, we had ice cream trucks called "pinky dinky" trucks which drove slowly through the neighborhoods, and all the kids ran out to buy from them. But they didn't deliver to houses. Looks like a fun job!

I loved this video, it was such fun. You two obviously had a good time as well. I was a little disappointed at the end, when you took the liver, or moose ic cream out and put it in a dish. I tthought you were going to see you eat some, so that we could see your reactions. Hehehe. The only problem I have now 30 minutes from having watched the video, is that I can still hear that awful ice cream van chime in my head. It won't stop, I may have a breakdown before bedtime. ARGHH!
