As a die hard polaris guy... i have to say that is 1 sweet machine. Those white big block wedges are the most beautiful sleds ever made, along with the 04 and 05 edges. Be sure to take good care of that sled. Those are getting very desirable. I had to laugh when onyx said if the weather person is right. We were told snow the last couple days here in western wisconsin, and didn't get a flake.

Can’t believe you found your Dads olé sled, right there that’s enough said!! You an Onyx should have fun with just slight restoration!! About all I can say it needs a new seat cover, I have 81 SRX which needs a new seat cover as well everything else is perfect, anyway my dad used to have a 71 Polaris Mustang 488 with a 20 inch track, that thing was a big tank but it ran great!!👍

Man you're an awesome father. That kid is growing up right! When I was 8, my Mom and Dad got me my first bow and my Dad set me up a target in the basement to practice with. We got some practice arrows with field tips so nothing would get really broken if it got hit some how. The trust building in stuff like this is so important at a young age and the discipline and patience that goes with it are great life lessons, best taught at that age. Way to go buddy, you're up there for father of the year. I'm happy he's into that stuff too and not just glued to a screen. There is so much more in life. Have a good one and stay warm! We just had a noreaster and now we're have about a foot of snow coming and 40 mph winds for the weekend. I'm not complaining though, I love our Western New York winters just as much as I love the summers!

I think that’s so cool you bought your dads old sled 🤙🤙. You have a super cool youngster he is attached to you at the Hip Brother. Just a Heads up when you opened up the hood your carb boots have round openings on top they have plugs in them and it looks like one was missing for sure. This will suck moisture in and freeze up your carbs and you don’t want that to happen when riding especially if your boy is riding it. Ride safe and Enjoy 😉.

I know the feeling of retrieving a family "heirloom" well Zach. We own 2 of my Grandfathers tractors, a '44 Farmall H and his '57 450. There is something special about running them and watching our sons and hopefully someday our Grandson run them knowing they are the 4th and 5th generation to sit in that seat. Grand pa and Dad are both gone but I'm sure they are mighty proud of that.

Can't believe you didn't blow the decals off the hood holding the wand that close. Had a '98 600XC with 4000 miles on the clock that I just sold to a co-worker this past summer that had been sitting for 10-12 years in my garage. With minor tinkering he said it fired right up. Of course, just like yours, the brakes don't work. The master cylinder works and the brake caliper piston works but he figures something is plugged either in the line or the inlet into the brake caliper.

I decided I needed a tool truck. my tools are everywhere and none of the places are where I need to work. so I had figured putting a service bed on a 98 dodge 24 valve 3/4 ton. but the vp pump is on its last leg it was going to take some cash. dad had a mercury 49 M135 that he had when he was a kid for a grain truck. he had brought it home in 2006 and put it in the shed...., me and friend pulled the intake manifold and heads off and the truck is in pretty darn good shape! I'll be the third generation in my family to run that truck and its pretty exciting to work on so I get the feeling your getting with that sled.

@alexanderdefender3 жыл бұрын
@@maineman11 Yeah they both had it pretty close, I'm sure they'll learn one way or another! After years of maintaining my bicycles I won't touch a pressure washer in most cleaning applications, it can do more harm than good for bearings and can mean more maintenance in general if not careful.
