4:20 Looking at the lines rolling in while I have 6” of snow outside. So jelly. If you live there, hopefully you appreciate that you get to play in the ocean on a regular basis.

There are many types of bunkers in the island and many other islands, but that specific one was a observation bunker ,they are usually interconnected by a trench or underground tunnels and some of them you enter from a door hatch on top , angled stairs or interconnecting tunnel , they were equipped with powerful optics like binoculars, periscopes or telescopes , a line comm device , a very detailed map on the wall with a 50,76,100 mile radius depending on the scale , a couple of tables a sleeping cot , flare gun with multiple flares in different colors , wall rack for weapons , garand rifles , Thompson sub machine guns , 1911 pistols , 50 loaded en block clips for the rifle and 1k rounds for the sub machine gun and pistol , a least that what a group of explorer friends and I found in the one we discovered unopened for at least 75-80 years, and last but not least two trash cans with a mechanical lid , one for garbage and the other one for biological waste .

The pill boxes and bunkers overlooked the beach and were used as early warning and first line defensive positions that would allow the Troops to fire down upon incoming troop transports to stop an invasion from the Japanese. In war the high ground is very important to hold because it a alot harder to fight an uphill battle hence the term..😃.. war is bad but knowing the history is good!

Ehukai Pillbox! I was in Oahu for the first time last year and did that hike, amazing views. Also saw a wild boar running really fast across the trail on my way down and it scared the pants off me. Is that normal? Love the vlog, psyched levels are even higher than on JOB's vids. Keep it up!
