I use to play in a band with John before he started Skillet (a band called Seraph). We've been friends since we were teenagers, and let me tell you...he's still the same crazy guy. What you see is what you get. He's always been this way...even when we weren't famous. The only difference now is that he has tattoos. When he lived at home with his Dad, he wasn't allowed to look like a rockstar...lol.

I just gained that much more respect for John. I always knew that he was involved in a few bits and pieces in Skillet (song-writing, technical stuff etc etc) but I honestly never knew that he was involved in EVERYTHING from start to finish. Not an easy task! Hats down to you, Johnny!!

This is why i love SKILLET sooooo much. As Korey said: John loves people and music, he gives us a reason to believe again only with their music. He gives me hope to not give up! I just recently got really into your music and band and I love the band so much and a lot of my friends hate your music because it’s “rock” and I tell them that most if not all of the songs a Christian songs and that’s another reason why I love the band so much.
