You work part time /“on call” with no benefits, you “pick up” available shifts in different departments so never stay long enough in one Dep. to learn your product and to become professional. You get cross training on demand but never get raise for multi-functioning. You work without raise, bonus or benefits. Their is NO commission, except cosmetics , shoes and gold Depts. and you have to be full time to be eligible. You must sign for Macy’s c/c in order to benefit from your 20% employe discount which is being “eaten” by 25% interest. You must open credit card accounts every day. 4 days of overnight inventory and + 6am shifts of holidays are torturous. Macy’s is the sweat factory place where you will be overworked and underpaid without future. Run.

I work at Macy's and it is horrible. Training is horrible. Management is horrible. They will ignore your availability and will schedule with hours and days that you cannot do. And when you call out when you encounter situations that are out of your control (flat tire, sickness, accidents), they will consider that an "unexcused absence" and it will affect your reliability meter. I'm gonna quit this bs job.
