A very interesting video. I can't quite think of a cushier desk job than that, off the top of my head. Tbh, I wouldn't be able to handle the somewhat limited scope of creativity designing a road bike must be, but that's gotta be a nice paying gig anyway. Very cool to see how each component is tested, I actually feel safer on my current bike (Cannondale) knowing how QC is done now.

Can y'all do a show on how to prevent foot or arch pain after a long ride. This is something new for me, im starting to experience arch pain after long rides.
@EmpyreanLightASMR8 жыл бұрын
I got arch pain in my left foot for the first time just last week, no idea why. I think it's because I've been doing longer rides sooner than my body is probably comfortable with (and less frequent short, training rides in between). Also new this year is integrating mtn bike riding, where I pedal with sneakers/trainers and no clips, so that'll affect my arches considerably.
@chinarep18 жыл бұрын
+1974dutchess I never have that problem while cycling but as a runner, the way I solved that issue was using wider shoes with less arch support. You might think it's counter intuitive to use shoes with less arch support but it actually allows your arch to compress and decompress as it would naturally which ended up making my fascia much stronger in the long run. It would be interesting to see how cyclists go about fixing this problem, though.
@cup_and_cone8 жыл бұрын
What I'd recommend and check if a customer asked me: 1-Make sure you have proper fitting shoes that are sized correctly and comfortable for you. 2-Make sure your cleats are aligned properly (this is the only free one list). 3-Get a pair of *fitted* supportive insoles custom to you. 4-See a bike fitter. You may need wedges for tracking/heel drop/etc issues. 5-Don't walk around your house in bare feet if you have high arches, try and wear at least slippers or sandals to get some support. 6-If issues persist, see a doctor. 7-Therapy options (last resort). 8-If you're lucky, it may resolve itself as it was temporary trauma. Take time off bike to heal.

If only they would swap out the aerocockpit for a longer stem I need, I would have ordered an aeroad already, but you can't switch beforehand, only after your bike is delivered and you need to pay extra's to get it all switched.
