A little clip from my time pushing cargo. This was at camp Dwyer in Afghanistan in february of 2018.

That pallet wasn't even busted all to shit. Immersion broken.

Its because the marines made the pallet and not the army

I am very interested in enlisting as a 15t or 15u and eventually becoming part of a flight crew. My concern is that I don’t have great academics and my only mechanical experience was a car shop class in high school. I read that you need to score at least 104 on the mechanics part of the Asvab. I don’t know how high 104 is compared to the standard score. I only have my high school diploma. What is your advice?
@CrewDogGamer2 жыл бұрын
I wasnt an extremely mechanically experienced guy when i joined. The mechanical section is not super complicated so dont sweat too hard on it! My biggest piece of advice is always pick 15U over T😅

A lot of the stuff you will really learn will be after your school anyways. They will straight up teach you what a wrench is in school

@@mikalserna155 sorry just seeing this. A CH47 has a lot of advantages flight wise and crewing wise over a 60. You get a lot more room to work whether it be as a mechanic or as a crewmember. The things you get to do are cooler to me, IE fire fighting, helocasting, paradrop, freefall stuff. Just a more fun system for an ole crew dog like me!

how do you become a crew chief?
@CrewDogGamer3 жыл бұрын
Go to your company after 15U or 15T training and work hard, show up on time, and show that youre not totally dumb. After a few months express interest in flying to a SI or FI or one of the senior flyers and if they take you, they take you. If not youll just be a D Co guy

@@CrewDogGamer how do the opportunities differ from 15t to 15u as far as mission sets
@CrewDogGamer2 жыл бұрын
@@alexecheverria8971 with being a uniform cargo will be much more a part of your life. We do everything a blackhawk does just much heavier. More people, more cargo, bigger fire buckets, stuff like that. Its my experience that anywhere a blackhawk lands, a chinook will land there too so doing combat operations will have you landing in backyards and on top of mountains just the same. Seems like SOF dudes prefer being in chinooks but i am biased on that😅
