I can’t wait till you drop your review of the lunapaca cover. I’m tempted to make it my entire stash but it’s such a commitment.

I have to get a video up about our experience! I love the concept and I love watching them work for others! We have a heavy wetter & flooder at times so they weren’t the best option for us, but a ton of people love them!! I would recommend getting one first and giving it a try!😊

I bought wool covers while pregnant with my first child after watching EC Peesy videos. I shocked the first covers with hot water when I didn't know how to wash them (Disana, WAHM upcycled soakers). I didn't know how much lanolin to use or how hot the water needed to be to emulsify it. The covers took a beating when my son was crawling (they pill and felt so much!). And don't get me started on baby-led weaning plus fuzzy woolies. It's better to undress them or throw a couple cloth napkins where a bib wouldn't catch food. I am interested in those alpaca covers. It would beat the 2-stage process of wool covers. Are they just naturally thicker? My stash has since grown to include Babee Greens, Puppi, MamaBearBabyWear, and Engel. I could make a playlist from my experience with each. With my second child, I almost exclusively use wool. I want to only use natural and breathable materials. The downside is the constant washing/relanolizing process with my daughter's newborn breastmilk poo. I leave covers in the sink for days at a time when my last ones are still going strong. My advice is that wool is not for the family who wants convenience. It might look like a piece of cake in this video, but it's truly more effort than this. Besides the actual labor cost for those covers, you have to buy all the supplies (lanolin, wool detergent, natural stain stick, gullwing drying rack, cedarwood satchels, etc). You have to have space to wash your covers or longies, be that a bathroom sink or a basin. It's very simple, but it can be tedious, especially for a busy mom or housewife who has a million other things to do. I still choose to do wool. It's a big value in my family to move to natural, to what God gave us for our benefit. I hope this helps someone who is considering it. Do your research and try it out.

I’m sorry you had that experience with your first in wool! Wool is a good deal of research! I hadn’t had luck with the lunapaca covers as my daughter would soak them because of compression, but I’ve heard they work great for others! I’m sorry that you thought my video made wool look easier than you’ve had experience with. In the video I’m am mostly showing what I use and don’t talk about the process before use. I have found washing and lanolizing to be very simple and easy and something I do in about a half hour for all of my wool pieces for washing and lanolizing! There are video on the Bumby Wool page for a super easy lanolinizng process! In my experience wool has been a convenient option (other than the upfront cost) but I am sure some would not think the same so I understand that as well! Everyone has varying opinions and experiences! Thank you for sharing!❤️

@@dayswiththedoyles it's a learning curve. I think you are right: you weren't intending on showing the full process and maybe Miss Grace didn't get anything on her covers that day. I'm just in a different stage right now (disenchantment) with the process. Are you going to review the Lunapaca cover soon? I think it's good for people to hear the negatives/challenging experiences from customers like yourself because it's a big investment. (I actually went ahead and bought my first one to try it out myself. Both my children have been heavy wetters, so I'm used to changing diapers very often, but I average 7 changes in 24 hours). How many wool covers do you own in total? Are they only from Bumby and Lunapaca? Thank you for your comment. I should be more grateful that this process is teaching me patience, simplicity, and deligence.

@@stephanieblanco7055 it is a learning curve! And it’s a very rare occasion that anything gets on the cover here, which I’m super grateful for! I do plan to talk about my experience with the Lunapaca covers one day because I think it’s important that everyone know that not every diaper is going to be for every family! Trial and error is a huge part of cloth diapering! In totally I have 7 wool covers: Bumby (2), Darling Estelle, Pretty Nifty Things, Sew Little Cloth, Puppi & Babee Greens!

Your daughter is adorable! This is so cool! Can't believe only 3 covers were used throughout the entire day. Is she a heavy wetter?
@dayswiththedoyles
@dayswiththedoyles Жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry I never answered! Thank you so much! She goes through phases of heavy wetting and flooding! With wool, because of the lanolization process it ends up neutralizing the urine so it can be used for a longer period of time before washing! Am I generally always wrap the absorbency around her when using wool so there’s less of a chance of poo escaping!😊

I had someone else ask this as well! If by chance you’re in the Bumby Facebook group I am going to be posting it there! I will also show it in the next day in a life video I do when I use it! With the Abrazo, you really have to pull it tight to get a good fit! Don’t be afraid to pull tight because the wool moves with baby and is gentle on the legs!💗

@@dayswiththedoyles is there a specific soap I need to buy ? Can I put it with my pocket diapers? Or should I put it with his baby clothes? I’m thinking about buying them but not 100% sure. I finally got the washing routine for his regular pocket diapers.

@@mariaFlorR609 it really all depends on what kind of wool you buy! Some wool like knits would need to be hand washed, at least I would and recommend! I love our Bumby because you can put it in the wash and we use either unicorn or eucalan! If you want you could always email me (lauraanndoyle2941@gmail.com) when you decide on what type your buying and I could help! Bumby also has amazing wash instructions for their wool on their Facebook page & website!

@@mariaFlorR609 I wash my wool separate from anything else just to be safe. I could see you being able to wash it with baby clothes if you are using the same wash for everything, but not with your other diapers.
