Funny story... I was first introduced to Karen Kingsbury years ago when I worked at a nursing home and one of the little ladies that was a resident read KK books. We would have to stay in her room with her while she was in the bathroom, but she didn't like us to actually be IN the bathroom. So one day I picked up a KK book and was hooked!! It was one of the Baxter series books that I started with. KK is such an emotion felt writer! BTW just found your channel through Chronicles of a Book Nerd.

I have read Tomorrow x3, it was good til a certain chapter where the female main character is in a bad relationship, and then towards the end it was a bit weird. But I do have the A.J. Fikry book by Gabrielle Zevin that I got from a thrift store! Haven't read it yet, but I'm hoping it's good. I am currently reading the Ten Thousand Doors of January that we spotted in your last thrift store video! I'm enjoying it so far. Oo I would have picked up The Only one Left as well! I have a few suggestions: Angel's Everywhere series all the special holiday feels and so cute! Mrs. Miracle series and Doris Robert's was in the TV movies so cute too.Cedar Cove, Blossom Steeet, and Rose Harbor series are some of my favs. AR Winters, Gina LaManna, CeeCee James, and Tonya Kappes all have cute, funny, cozy mysteries. Karen Kingsbury Baxter family and Angels Walking a re good. Yes, I must read series in order even if they say you don't have to. I have found you do miss out on some character history. Enjoy your week happy reading 📚 😊.

After seeing drama about influencers seeking out indie authors and asking them to send their book(s) and asking to also be paid to promote their book(s) and then completely flaking on them, it’s really nice to an influencer follow through for an indie author. I could even be more understanding if the authors had been the ones to reach out and offer to send a copy and then the influencer being unable or unwilling to read and review. It’s still crappy but life happens from time to time. But the influencers are seeking them out wanting free stuff AND want to be paid. Mind blowing.

I’ve seen this and I feel incredibly terrible for the authors who have tried to go this route and have ended up getting scammed in the process. I am someone who does this purely as a hobby and for enjoyment and I’m thankful for that! I would not have an author send me something they spent so much time and heart to create & ask for compensation on top of it. I am grateful that any authors want to share their work with me in the first place. There are SO many great creators out there who will gladly read and love on a book for authors without compensation!

The first book I ever read of hers (26/27 yrs. ago?) was Wings Of Refuge. So good! Any of her older bks.especially. I saw a bk. you did not pick up that is supposed to be good; The Stories Of The Life Of A.J. Firkel. I want to get it. The one you want your husband to read by Eager is good. I read it and the ending was really a surprise. I don't like all is bks. Home Before Dark(?) by him was SO STUPID and UNREALISTIC. I find alot of good books at The $Tree sometimes. I like the author Felicity McCoy (Irish) and I found her whole series except for 1, in there. One is called The Transatlantic Bookclub, really good. I like alot of Jenny Colgan bks. and have found those there also. Some still have the Target sticker on them and even Books A Million stickers. Some of never heard advertised but were good. You can't go wrong for $1.25! You got great prices! No thrift stores OR used bkstr. around d here w/ those prices! Good will book prices are ATROCIOUS! All their prices are! Don't go there anymore.
