Greetings! I'm an international student coming to BYU-Idaho next fall semester! Can I choose to live with a specific roommate (or what they called a preferred roommate) in BYUI approved housings or I have to get randomly assigned with anyone? Thank you so much and I love your video, gave me some ideas about what to expect at BYU-Idaho!

Hey! Yes you can request to live with anyone your want as long as they are also a student. Each apartment complex does it a little differently... some of them will ask if you have someone you want to live with when you sign the contract, while others you may want to email to let them know. Places like Windsor manor, The Landing and Centre Square will let you select the apartment, bedroom and bed that you want (which is nice because you don't have to stress about someone taking the bed you want on move in day), while other complexes are usually random which sucks because it's more of a first come first serve thing, so if you and your friend want to be in the same bedroom as each other, then you have to hope that nobody has taken the other bed (if that makes sense)... Good luck! I graduated a little over a year ago and I miss it so much.

Well Provo is like “the cream of the crop” for all the byus, but it is harder to get into so if you apply to that and don’t get into it you should try to get into the Idaho one

Why does the cross have to do with anything? We Latter-day Saints are not against having wearing a cross. It isn't against God's commandments. It simply isn't something our churches use.
