When you run 3 packs high you need to put some straps over the bottom two packs first then rest over the top. It reduces dynamic load forces that cause the bottom packs to move.

I used to load a lot of stuff in the German Ruhr area. A mixed load of different types of steel always required an insane amount of straps. Ohh, and your burner ! A trangia with gasburner is very safe to use. It will not fall over

Always strap on top of the cross bearers where possible, stops the bounce slackening the straps.

Greetings from Scotland! Hi Timea! If there is ever a category for "Strap throwing accuracy" in the Olympics, you must enter it! You made that look easy, first time, every time! I would have hit the trailer roof every time! 😂 That was such a beautiful day when this was filmed, I could almost feel the warmth! Homemade "Mama's soup" is the best in the world! It looked delicious, please send me some! 😂 I have a question for you Timea. As winter is upon us, do you adapt your truck for the snow/ice conditions by fitting winter tyres or do you carry snow chains? Maybe you don't really need such measures unless you travel to colder counties of course? Hope you are happy and healthy and your family are also all good!

My father always laughed at me when I hit the roof, then showed me how to try it.😂 You can imagine we laughed till we secured the cargo, because I would hit the roof like a 1000 times😂. I am sure you would throw it just fine!😊 It really was, now it already started to snow ❄️. I would send you with pleasure!😊 Yes, I've just got new snow chains ⛓️. I drive in countries where it is needed. Also on my way home we have a mountain 🏔️ where if it is snowing without chains/+road cleaning you can't cross the mountain. My tyres are for highway use, so it isn't the best option for snow, but I hope I can manage with my chains.🤷🏼‍♀️😀 Thank you Peter, we are good, I hope you and your family too! @@blondietruckingadventures I guessed that it was your father who taught you! I did the same thing with my 2 sons. But it was with traditional ropes in my day. I taught them different types of loading knots to secure different loads. I also taught how to sheet a load on a flat trailer. Your Dad was a good teacher Timea!

In the States, your load would be called "lumber", a finished dimensional wood product, ready for construction projects. "Timber" is the tree, from the woodlot, before any milling into "lumber". Great video and interesting...!

Did you know the way you lash and secure your load would not be legal in North America? 80mm width nylon and rubrail mounted winches. The only exception is chain and binders and even there 10mm chain is minimum

That's not the correct way to do the ratchet straps I drive a flatbed and the strap goes in and then comes out from the top. This way you use much less strap when you tighten them and then when you need to re-tighten the strap you have much more room and strap. Most people do it like you do but this is a wrong way.

Nope youre doing the straps weong. she has done the straps exactly the right way. The way weve been doing it for decades. If you dont know why ratchet mechanism need to be used this way, go and find out.
