Wow! Few very cool kits there, those mid to late eighties box art models and early 90's are close to me also. I thought I had sit down and share some photos of my past and some projects I have through email. Thanks for sharing this video, always nice to watch these kits you have and you have bought. Have a nice weekend and stay safe my friend 😎👍🏻

Thanks Asko! There were so many in that lot I would have loved to have kept and talked more about but was really conscious how long the video would have ended up. The pink 59 Elcamino box art era was like you say the ones I grew up with along with the late 80s issues. Even that elco was rare by the time I could afford my own stuff. I think I paid around £35 in '93 when I was 13 for one from a supplier down south as it was my favourite kit that I couldn't buy from the local hobby shop when I was 9 (6.95 was well beyond my pocket money allowance and my dad said they were too advanced). Bearing in mind in 93 kits were still only around £10 that Elcamino was extremely expensive but again, with no real internet they were as rare as a 60s kit to find. I've had many since and paid a lot less for everyone but keeping that one in the video as I actually don't have one right now (I built the original and think the box got sold in a parts lot years ago). Anyways thanks again mate, really do appreciate your support and popped you an email across too. Speak soon Asko and look after yourself in the meantime 😊

Thanks Shawn ☺️ I think having someone you can hand the stuff down to is definitely the best case scenario and completely takes away any worry or concerns of what may happens to it all ❤️ I'll never stop building mate don't worry, got too many projects and think no matter what it'll be in my blood to the grave 😂 wish I'd known on the repsol escort, that one didn't hang around long at all, I'll let you know if anything else like that comes my way through. And yeah, I think the Jag is a perfect one for Martin, lovely looking kit that one for sure 😊 thanks again brother, really appreciate everything ❤️ 🙂

Well John, to all intents and purposes of which You present this video, "A Day in the Life," I am very much content in that You "hit the nail on the head!" A very much in-depth look at what goes on behind the camera Sir! Most insightful as to just what goes on with the small business You have! And very impressive! As is how You do business and Your thoughts on conducting it! I agree with a lot of what You take into consideration as to how You conduct yourself and the work. I am glad to hear it is profitable as far as Your still doing it too! Again, How You feel about it has much to do with it's success as well. I must say, that little room has quite the impressive collection in it, You have done well, rather are doing well! I applaud Your efforts and hope that it continues to do so for some time to come! Thank You for sharing this look into Your life! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later! Oh and give the cats a rub on the head!

Hi Russell, I'm so glad you liked this video and enjoyed looking behind the scenes a bit of what goes on when we aren't sat behind the camera at the bench. I do try really hard when it comes to selling this stuff for it to be received how I would like them to come to me and make it a nice experience even from receiving a nicely presented shipping box. I was wanting to turn that room into a dedicated hobby/sales office and move everything from the hall all into that one space. It was a job I was going to tackle in the summer but unfortunately the landlord of the property has decided it may be time to sell. Not great timing with all other life's challenges and will no doubt cause further disruption but hopefully as and when that happens I can just set up from a fresh canvas. Who knows what the future will bring but will continue to do the best I can with the channel and the business around it all regardless 🙂 thanks again for your support Russell, hope you're keeping well and we'll speak soon 🙂

Hi Leon, shipping costs alone start around $38 for a single kit (obviously goes up a bit when combining multiple kits). Those ones unfortunately all sold for the equivalent of $38-$45 (if currency calculator is right), hence why I say when it comes to these newer kits you'll probably always spend less and get better deals on your domestic eBay site and swap meets etc. I ship a lot overseas but this is generally when I list old Jo-Han kits as your market for these is much stronger, and even with shipping can cost less than buying domestically,... Vintage kits unfortunately don't have the same interest over here and think there's only a handful of us left interested in that stuff. Thanks again for watching anyways 🙂
