I love this! Still have relay boxes and mail bags. Still have customers who say they don’t want bills. Still have “household mail” that gets recycled immediately! Lol Still have people waiting for their cheques! Still have short walks with loads of businesses! Only thing that’s different is the size of the cases, and we use our cars freely.

If I have a customer who says, "I don't want any bills!" I just tell them "No problem! I gave all of your bills to your neighbor!" If they ask "Which neighbor?" I say, "The one you don't like."

Finishes the day between 2-3pm must have been nice. Average day for me is 7am-7pm and we are not even in peak anymore lol

When my Grandfather returned to Vancouver after WW1, he worked as a Postie to strengthen his 3 missing meta carpels. After retirement he worked every PNE at the RCMP Musical Horse Barn " Guard". ❤.

The little restaurant he has coffee in is still there it looks like on Google earth! 1521 W. Broadway.

I was a postman in Vancouver..started in 1976.It was a hard job...lot's of walking with heavy loads.I worked in North Vancouver and West Van too...a nice job but really labor intensive.

Most of this seems to be shot at Fir and 7th right beside the bridge. I wonder if he worked at the post office at Pine or if the original location was closer to Fir? Fascinating. I came to this channel following a blog post about riding the arbutus rail line but that video seems to sadly be gone now. I grew up in a house along that line was really looking forward to seeing how it looked back then. Oh well.

That’s walk out route didn’t show how he put the route in bags and walk from one relay box to another you have no vehicle he makes it look so easy not that way now days

Actually nvm it's probably just a car overpass. 6:49 shows this magazine cover: content.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19640911,00.html so it's definitely from 1964
