I would have preferred an hour by hour breakdown of a typical day. This video is really unfocused, lots of random affirmations.

What a great video! My son is 8. These types of videos help him learn from the pro's, stay coachable, and helps tremendously to grow the passion within him to "want" to play tennis. Good job USTA! Keep videos like this coming.

Then there’s a guy like Nick Kyrgios. I’d love to see how he trains. I bet he does not do much. Goes to show you his talent level. I read an article that Nick Bolliteri (sp) wrote. He said there have been two people he’s seen that have the most natural ability. The first is Andre Agassi. The second is Nick. That says a ton.

guys, I live in Spain the country that with just 40 millions people, gave birth to some of the greatest masters tennis players.... I think you got it wrong. Too much discipline, too much... leading to nowhere, focus more on the flow... feel the ball, if you develop intuition, you know where the ball it's coming before you start to run. You must flow like a river, you must feel the freedom and enjoy the play. Every rationalization that you make is actually stopping you. ....let's say you wake up at 7 ...so what?? you think you deserve to win something? ... sure you think you deserve something, now this little thought is sabotaging your victory. You step into the field thinkin "I deserve to win, because I trained hard", but the most wonderful things in life are free.... your subconscious mind is sabotaging your victory, you think you deserve something so you stop asking the universe a victory. You stop fighting, because you deserve..... subconsciously you have already lost.

Why would they get up early when they don't want to? Didn't US military experiments showed that people perform significantly better with unrestricted amount of sleep over even people with 8 hour of sleep every day? They should go to bed on time and get up when they naturally awake to have the best performance.
@coopergrim85135 жыл бұрын
Because you shouldn’t waste away half of your day sleeping. I train at an academy and I get up at 6:00 every day. I perform just the same or better. I feel better and not lazy like you getting up early.

Running up sand hills is great training for the Olympic sand hill competition. I have my doubts about the value of fitness gurus. If you think you need a coach, you probably don't have a winning attitude and the confidence needed to play your own game to its potential. Taking the fun out of tennis and making it a tedious job is bound to kill enthusiasm. Not to say players can't benefit from coaching in areas where they need it.

Not at all... Sorry to crush your dreams, but from my experiences in the inter-galactical tennis tour, the under 2-months serve at 400-500mph (However Kryptonians and Saiyans serve waay faster, but it's genetical, not to worry - your competition is with underdog planets based on your serve speed). You only have half a month to get your service speed up to the minimum, which is 400mph. Look out for the Cybertron open to get a good result- it's got an environment much like earth, and without a red giant star to sap your energy or those annoying-ass meteors striking the surface. Good luck with your tennis journey tho - From a 2-time galactical tour representing Asgard

2 ways they can fix American tennis. 1. Have top players play a lot of matches learning on clay. Teaches them to outthink their opponents. 2. Have top players play other sports. Soccer, basketball, maybe even racquetball would work.
@andyinoregon7 жыл бұрын
Strength training and racquet technology have combined to ruin professional tennis as a spectator sport. Almost no one even attempts to play serve and volley tennis these days, because the baseline groundstrokes are coming back too fast to handle. The result is a sport lacking any variety of styles. What would former net-rushing legends like McEnroe, Edberg and Navratilova do in today's game? Would they be just average pros if pinned to the baseline? Pro doubles is much more entertaining to watch than singles these days, but is rarely televised because top-ranked singles players don't participate like they did in the '70s and '80s.

doesn't matter how much money they throw at it or how good the USTA program is or how hard these guys work, to be top ten or number one and win grand slams you gotta have talent and superior stroke technique which for many US players like Young Querry Isner etc. just do not possess

Panda Squad Yes, you're considered late but it's entirely possible to play tennis in college. I'm nearly at the stage where I'm playing tennis in a university, I started when I was 14 but I played nearly everyday. First year is tough but once you smooth out everything it's 100% worth it.

NO NO NO he has to put more into his riding, the same with these tennis athletes, they have to focus more on the court because these fitness workouts and weight shit is only going to bring them so far. American tennis players are friends that's the problem with american tennis. Being best friends with each other? sorry but that's your competition on tour and should be treated as such. When training they should just focus on improving themselves individually with no other player around just them and a coach. Otherwise you'll end up with a nickname like Christina Mcfail. I wonder if part of their training includes a hour of selfies with their tennis bestie? lmao!
@jenniferbrushaber24647 жыл бұрын
The type of regimented training they are doing is the problem. Many players from other countries are friends. Not the issue. They are trying to be machines, yet tennis has so many nuances, a machine cannot address all the subtleties
