It sounds like no matter how many certs or common knowledge you have on the platform, it is specifically how the client is using the software, and the client’s data, where the learning curve really matters.

That is great insight into the real job. You have a talent for explaining. 1 idea you game me while watching - and you did hit on it a bit - was advice on going above and beyond to stand out and be remembered as someone who helps, understands and adds business value to the team. So you have both sides: Helping a beginner and helping someone with experience grow. Definitely a good video!

Thanks so much for this series. I really like the vision for the life that you've painted (working remotely, quick ramp to senior positions/higher salaries, possibility to freelance/consult/own your own business), but I wasn't sure if the actual day-to-day of Salesforce would appeal to me. This series really helped clarify before I jumped further into Trailhead. Thank you!

@SalesforceForEveryone I sure hope you will read my comment and respond. I am completely OVER my corporate job. I gave my notice because one more day felt like it would kill me. I would LOVE to become a salesforce administrator but feel unclear about the timeline for landing a job after passing the cert exam. What do you think the likelihood of landing an admin job is within the first 6 months of getting a certification? I have other skills that I bring to the table that some other folks might not have. Would that give me a leg up in competition? I am in massive debt and I can't go study something, take the exam, apply for jobs and hope to get hired if there is really no chance of getting hired. I am afriad I would lose my house in the meantime. I have to have an income quick. Thoughts? thanks!

@SalesforceForEveryone

This is more about communication. You would want to start by responding and letting the client know you have received the email and you will be evaluating each item and will respond with any questions. I would then find the items that are quick and easy and complete that day. I would then respond letting the client know that I had completed these items and I'm still working on the others. From there you just want to give a daily update but I would say within 3 days all should be complete. This depends heavily on your relationship with the client. You can always ask the client how quickly they need these completed.

When you mentioned automation issues for formulas, do you have to be good at math to manage this part? I am not good with math.
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 4 ай бұрын
I wouldn't say you need to be good at math. You do need to understand what the formula does of course. I would also say be open minded to the idea that you might actually be perfectly fine with math but you've been told, or told yourself that you're not good at it just because of some limiting experience with an outdated learning process or an environment that didn't enable you to learn in a way that aligned with you. Either way, you absolutely have the ability to learn and you will do just fine with formulas. Plus with the help of ChatGPT the Salesforce community groups etc... you'll always be a chat forum or GPT chat away from all the help you need.

It really depends on the company but keep in mind you aren't supporting customers you are supporting internal employees. @@bryanx68 I haven't personally heard of that one either but it's very common to integrate Salesforce with other data tools like these. Oftentimes there are even apps for Salesforce so that these can be natively integrated. Any experience with SAAS tools and databases is massively helpful.

Sorry for the delayed response. It varies greatly depending on the request as well as your comfort level with Salesforce and your familiarity with the org you're working in.

I'm self employed now and own 3 separate businesses so it's not relevant to these roles specifically. I finished my mainstream Salesforce role making $225k working 25 hours a week 👍 Not the norm, but it's my continued goal to help others achieve their version of career success.

Hi, Is there any way where we can replace user from everywhere at one time? like - lead assignment,case assigned, approval matrix,email alert, dashboards running user & etc. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. ~kk

That's a great question and it sounds pretty awesome! I haven't heard of that but what I can tell you is if it's a thing I would expect it is a paid app.
