Doing this job you really need to move around a lot more! I used to feel like I was chained to my desk, it lasted 2 years working from home until I started to develop back and neck pain, After months of Physio I'm still not 100%, it was time for me to move on, I left my 6 figure job, working outdoors half the pay what I used to get, but I feel alive and happy. Money and title are not everything in life, you need to find that balance otherwise your mental and physical health will suffer. Thanks for being honest and showing us the truth about being a Software Engineer, I watched a lot of videos, and people make it out to be the best and easiest money-making system, until they go and try it, most people don't last long in this industry. What I hated about this job the most, was how much time I wasted in useless online Team Meetings.

Engineer here in KY and I’ll tell you that while i do miss out on the big city lifestyle, you can live EXTREMELY well here for not much. Plus I’m less than an hour away from Nashville. Have you considered going to a smaller spot with the same job if you’re remote? Keep crushing it bro!
