Many of us are highly educated and living large actually... contrary to what most folk think. I've seen some places abroad worse off than what's called "ghetto" here. We're very blessed, but sometimes the leadership won't do enough to advance the nation i.e. Congo. I hope people know Uganda and other (African) countries are more than just the poverty, diseases e.t.c that the media puts out. 🇺🇬🙏

My father's family and most of my paternal relatives plus myself, siblings and my cousins were born grew up in Kibuli. That street food isnt prepared the day before but that morning. Also, as soon as most kids are out of university and start working, these are the most affordable accomodations due to their income. In fact, even university students live in such places which are very many and affordable around many big universities. They are dangerous at through the night so dont be fooled that its only 3 or 4 am. From as early as 11 until 6 am you can be mugged or your house broken into. Even during day. So don't move carelessly. Anyways, thanks for show casing my home town. I love that place. Those saying its dirty or blah blah, immune systems adjust to condtions. We never struggled with infections like kids from gated communities, we grew up playing with dust and walking in those dirty trenches. Only diseases were flu or cough and of course malaria because the mosquitoes are many and typhoid but not the infections that can't be explained in hospital these days. Anyways, thank you 😊

@@TravelGawd No. The vast majority of the world lives in a similar way to this. They don't have a high income, but their costs of living are so low that it doesn't really matter.
