When my office job switched to WFH in 2020, I became so so lonely. It was call center work though, so joking around with my coworkers between calls was the only humanizing part of the job. The rest of it was absolutely soul-sucking.

it is so much relaxing to just review the work and ask for corrections. Secondly, a senior manager deals with managers not a child trainee that he will be asked childish questions.

You’re constantly on the phone in and out of work and *never* without your laptop/phone. You’ll get tired of how every single time you unlock your phone, the first screen that you see is your email… because you’re always on it wether you like it or not.

Used to work for an audit firm Skills you will learn in school like auditor language all the accounting is basic. People skills and comprehension. You’ll see a lot of stuff that wasn’t taught in school. Or like scenarios that you need to talk to your client about that they have no idea or think they have a better idea than you. Also say goodbye to your social life during busy season.
