Great video as always! I like the edit skit in the beginning. It’s a good overview video, but there is a good amount of technical jargon that the general populace may not know about. Additionally, I wonder if you can give like a “demonstration” of a real life task you would do as a more “show” don’t “tell approach”. Love this series!

Hey Brian, I am egyptian pharmacist graduated 2014 that been in love with technology and programming for 17 years now and working on my equivalency here in the US. I really love to work in a field that gather both worlds. I know alot of programming languages and have a lot of projects. Do you still recommend to pursue this pathway 2 years later of your video? Is it worth it? Does it pay better than retail pharmacist? What do you suggest me to study or certification needed to continue proceed in the IP career? Thanks in advance ☺️

This is a great question and it really depends on your interests. Check out this introductory course to help guide you through some of those questions: pharmacyinformaticsacademy.com/courses/introductorycourse/

could informatics pharmacist be able to work from home?

great question! It's very dependent on the employer. Usually informatics positions have remote options, especially vs. non-informatics, direct patient care roles, but it's up to the employer as some may mandate employees show up in person or be hybrid. I was in-person first 5 years of my career and remote in the last few.

My background is pharmacy. How hard it will be to do msc in health informatics in usa. What will be the job opportunity after graduation.

Sakib, these are great questions that I'm not sure I have the answer to. Difficulty in doing a msc in health informatics is likely subjective to the individual. If you have experience in it or are naturally talented in the didactics, then it'll be easy. Otherwise, it might be hard. As for job opportunities, it'd seem like anything related to healthcare + technology is a good bet right now. However, job opportunities aren't usually just pure academics either as you'll need to network and build connections to become a strong candidate. Hope that helps!

I also have a background in pharmacy and I am very intressed in informatics so I would like to ask please, Does the choice of University from which one gets the master degree affect the job opportunities, and is there one that is more recommended ?

@@salmajarraya3771 I think it does to a certain extent. The choice of university from where you obtain your master's degree can have an impact on your job opportunities in the USA. However, it's important to note that the university's name alone isn't the sole determining factor in your employability.
