You can join me on a typical day in my summer working remotely from Switzerland. I am a PhD candidate at MIT working on theoretical research in machine learning and quantum algorithms. As I can do my research from anywhere in the world, I decided to move to Switzerland for a few months. I used to live nearby, while studying at EPFL, but never really had the chance to explore the country.
I got up quite early in the morning to do some cardio. After breakfast, I started writing my research paper for MIT. Around noon, I started doing slightly unsafe experiments with frozen nitrogen, and then watched the Tour de France passing through my tiny village. Next, I traveled to EPFL for a meeting, and then hit the gym for a while. In the evening I had to bike through the vineyards to get some more groceries, for a beautiful evening grill in my garden.
