Good day sir. I always follow your video and I love it. We have lots of bonsai at home however they are all banyan type tree. I want to have chinese juniper, actually I ordered juniper seed at aliexpress but sadly after they sprout some centimeter it keeps on dying, how should I grow them successfully ?

Very nicely done! You are fortunate to be a member of such a nice group of bonsai enthusiasts. Was any work done to the rock prior to planting with the juniper?
@BonsaiIligan8 жыл бұрын
None except tieing in the concrete tray pot which was also shown in this video, we had to rework it many times though to balance it in the tray.

after planting on rock how do you give food to ur bonsai
@BonsaiIligan8 жыл бұрын
Liquid fertilizer by spraying on the roots and leaves. But I have experience that even if I don't fertilize them as long as I water them well they thrive.

I have done some coconut tree bonsai but it takes too much time to make them and you need to do a lot of root works Here is an old video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3_HnZKfYrt3qNk

And here is another crazy experiment where we planted coconut tree on rock. Though it is not progressing well it is still alive. I'll make video on updates of my coco works in the near future. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3zUpZyGjsp3fcU

hindi po ba matatangal ibang soil pag diniligan? baka mamatay pag na expose roots? and ano pong best plant for rock bonsai?
@BonsaiIligan8 жыл бұрын
Yes, you have to be careful to water, use a spray nozzle or just a spray bottle. Sometimes I wrap the soil around with a piece of net, the one you use in shading your garden.

+Bonsai Iligan what is the best plant to use for that kind of setup here in philippines po?
@BonsaiIligan8 жыл бұрын
Ficuses hangs well on roots but most ficuses have large leaves and somehow destroy the scale between tree and rock. In my opinion I would like to see the tree small in the rock so it will mimic a tree growing on a mountain side or cliff. So I use "Wild Lemons" as we call it here in our place. I hear in Luzon they just call it "Lemonsito". other specie I use are "Premna" or otherwise called "Alagao" in Luzon. or Abgao in Bisaya or Argao. Here is a video on a rock grown "Wild Lemon" also named "Limeberry. : kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpDXooqqoJWVeNk. and here is a "Premna" :kzbin.info/www/bejne/epvYZ6x7ftqWppY
