It’s 14-year-old me (at 13:48), dressed in TNG science/medical blue, looking at bootleg VHS tapes of “V: The Miniseries” in the Dealers’ Room. I had organized a field trip from my middle school’s sci-fi club (which I had helped found) to this convention, and was attending this w/several students & chaperones. Such a great day w/so many familiar faces in the Twin Cities fan community throughout (Mary, Myron, Patti, Sarah) and some, like Blair, who are sadly no longer with us. 💙 Years later, I was traveling out to Los Angeles (for a Xena convention no less) and was sat next to Fancy Ray McCloney on the flight out, where we chatted about his memories about filming at this convention. 🖖

We used to have the original Star Trek convention(now,way back)in 1984 at the(now moved science center).The Star Trek Convention went on until it disbanded in 1990.I haven’t been to a science convention for a long time,now!But,this video look’s fun 🤩 to watch!Since then,I have become a;’closet Trekkie!’Which,is okay with me!Some day,my sister 👩 and I will go back to Riverside,Iowa to see the Star Trek museum.Maybe,it will be next Spring,or,possibly next Summer that we’ll see the Museum?😊
