The Flying Dolphin idts bc, one of the last scenes he had with aethelflead i've seen hope for him and her. like idk a little moment where he changed his behaviour through wards her. Watched him in The Last Kingdom first.. hated his character (as I should) now I’m watching Reign (I know I’m late) and I absolutely love his character Francis and didn’t even realize they were played by the same actor until I looked up his filmography because the characters are so different! He has one of the most well written characters. Very faithful to himself and believable, and although he is a cunt, his actions can be understood and I find it not too hard to empathize with him. And he has battle courage, which always makes a character a little more likeable. Add to that a good looking and more than above average actor, the makers of the show hit the nail on its head with this one. Too shameful that he is no more, he had potential to become a great ruler, King even. I mean seriously, his father was this bitter old man who died of a heart attack at Alfred's table.

But, here you are in real life just the sweetest guy ever !!
