I know some of what you went through during the holidays. I was an oilfield widow (ha!), my husband worked off shore about 85 % of the time and we had a 2 yr old and a newborn! They are adults now but I remember those days! Hang in there, it does get better.

I would like to share an idea for the boys to help a little when there when you are getting ready to fold laundry. I did this after my husband passed away from cancer at 43 yrs young when our son was 4 yrs old(just the two of us, like when your husband is deployed). I found a little clothes basket to out his clothes in to take to his room, I would have him sort out his clothes and out them in the basket, like clothes with like clothes. It was fun for us, he got to help, and learn too, while we enjoyed time together too. Love the t-shirt idea. Maybe you will share your soup recipe with us. 😊❤

I love your videos! I admire how strong you are with keeping your family together while raising your boys all by yourself. I have been wondering, are you able to talk to Nathan while he is away? I know the boys are so little and it seems like unfortunately he has been deployed for the majority of their lives. How do you stay in contact where he can see them grow up and they know who he is? I totally get if this is too personal of info to share, I am curious though!

The change kids make in just a few weeks is insane, let alone basically an entire year, I cannot imagine what that transition is for him learning two totally new little guys every time he comes back. I appreciate him making that sacrifice that I am sure is so hard so we can live our lives comfortably and safely at home. ❤️
