Hey Nikita, I have an unconditional offer from united for master’s of applied business course. Do you have any idea regarding the timetable and the difficulty level of this particular college ? Is it practically possible to clear the course along with a part time job and daily chores ? Also it would be appreciated if you could highlight a routine day in life of an international student, just to understand how things are managed on day to day basis.

Hi Pankit, I am sorry for the delayed response. It is quite possible to clear the course with a part time job. As a student you are allowed to work maximum 20 hours per week. As an international student, my routine was pretty simple actually as I did most of my studies during lockdown. I am not a student anymore, this was in 2020. But I can give you some advice: stay closer to Unitec and find work within the campus if you can. I didn’t know this was an option but there are student associations or similar things for international students that are paid. Or get a job in Mount Albert, St Luke’s or anywhere around Unitec, Mt Albert campus. Anything that saves you travel cost and time. Work on weekdays so that you can write your assignments on weekends. It will be tight schedule till you finish your studies but worth every second! The faculty is really supportive. The facilities are really good as well at the campus. You just need to ask wherever you feel stuck, there is some sort of support facility always. Hope this helps. All the best for your future journey. Happy to answer any further questions. My Instagram handle is nikitasharma2391 and theartpott. Cheers! Nikita

Hi nikita.I have received a conditional offer from unitec for masters of creative practice.Could you please tell me if i’ll be able to pay the fee through a part time job?
@pankitgangar54382 жыл бұрын
I suppose part time jobs can only satisfy your living expenses, maximum that you could save in a year considering a full time employment in summer breaks would be around 3 to 4K after managing all your living expenses. So I guess that wouldn’t be enough to fulfil your course fee . That’s what I have learned from all the research I’ve done.
@nikitasharma23912 жыл бұрын
Hey Falak, @pankitgangar is right. As a student, you can work only 20 hours a week. Depending on what kind of a job you get, the minimum wage is $21. Your weekly accommodation rental will be $200, food and transportation will be another $50-75 and other miscellaneous expenses should also be considered for movies or any other entertainment activities. It will be really hard to manage the fee as it’s much higher for us as international students.

It’s a great university. I had great exposure and opportunities here. The faculty is supportive and understanding. It’s all about how much effort you want to put in to receive results. Unitec has given me a great start to my career as an artist.
