I am sure it's not easy but humping drywall and hanging 5/8s on the ceiling all day really does suck and is hard on the body. My body was constantly achy. I would have to go into small places like this poor guy in the trailer. I am taking a welding course and hoping this will be my career until I retire. I am 35.

@@BaronBoarso you spend a little of your salary on a gym where the body aches for the better then when you are like 65+ you will thank your self for investing in you're self by having fluidity in your joints and you're bones are still strong as if you were still in your 40s thats the thing with trades somtimes good pay if you are in the top 10% but your doing the grueling hours and job

I’m a food grade stainless steel fabricator, I’ve been doing it now for about 2.5yrs. I love it so far, very fulfilling.. especially when you build a big ass project and it comes out square and level! Love to see the Respirator!

Depend on what kind of welding , pipeline welding ? Shop fabricator? Field fab ? If your just planning on getting a shop job you will be fine but pipeline welders and field fabricators are almost always on the move/in camp

Not long before your making good money , you can get a job sweeping the floor of a welding shop for $18-$20 an hour and slowly learn from there how to weld. Once you can weld and pass your CWB test your a certified welder

You have to start somewhere, get hired pushing a broom for $20 Hr then maybe the boss will see potential if you work hard and teach you how to weld or if you know how to weld after pushing broom for a while show him your work ! Gotta work for it.
