I am sure it's not easy but humping drywall and hanging 5/8s on the ceiling all day really does suck and is hard on the body. My body was constantly achy. I would have to go into small places like this poor guy in the trailer. I am taking a welding course and hoping this will be my career until I retire. I am 35.

​@@BaronBoarso you spend a little of your salary on a gym where the body aches for the better then when you are like 65+ you will thank your self for investing in you're self by having fluidity in your joints and you're bones are still strong as if you were still in your 40s thats the thing with trades somtimes good pay if you are in the top 10% but your doing the grueling hours and job

I’m a food grade stainless steel fabricator, I’ve been doing it now for about 2.5yrs. I love it so far, very fulfilling.. especially when you build a big ass project and it comes out square and level! Love to see the Respirator!

3:25 big tip for you get a high amp plasma cutter you will save a lot of money and its quicker and cleaner and more accurate of a cut

@@VandeeTVyeah we were mostly fastening rubber and plastic parts on racks after they were welded and painted sometimes there are missing welds or parts then we had to fix it

I wouldn’t say assembly took skill or experience but you still need to learn and pay attention quite a bit

I’m 16 in highschool and I’m very interested in taking this trade. I’d love to learn the skill of welding and want a job that I enjoy, if I’m gonna be working for decades I want it to be something that I like! I’m also quite excited for the salary lol

Thank you so much! Yeah I know welding takes skill but after you get good at it , it feels like your a robot and you could teach a monkey to do your job hey? Hahah I know that’s how I felt anyways .. but yeah it definitely takes a lot of work but the feeling I get when I finish editing a video and watch it thinking to myself “damn I made that “ is a really good feeling , just like how we would look at a finished project and think “ damn I fabricated that “ lol

awesome too see.. beginner welder here barely 50 hours and it’s nice too see a bit into what you do and the different machines, and things you had too use. great job.. maybe try and show your welds more but otherwise great video

Thank you for the video! I'm interested in taking this trade after leaving cabinetmaking, looks more fun! I took intro courses, safety courses (fucking expensive but they are required by welding union in my city for better wage). I noticed you decided to follow your passion instead of working, whatever it is, I hope you found and am still holding that!

i started of doing shut downs in saw mills and paper mills and after that i did my welding diploma in quebec 1800hours and after that pipe welding tig stick and mig aftert that i ve been working as welder in a saw mill and love my job always some thing different one day fixed machinerie maintenance to a other day a convator modification and welding ⚡⚡ but and heers out to Metal marquis and Temisko👍🏼👍🏼👍👍🏼

Hi! Thanks for the video. I was recently accepted into a welding program, and was glad to see your video since you were working in a shop. I read that many welders travel for work. Can you tell me if this is a personal choice, or a requirement? I’d rather stay at home if at all possible. Thanks!

Depend on what kind of welding , pipeline welding ? Shop fabricator? Field fab ? If your just planning on getting a shop job you will be fine but pipeline welders and field fabricators are almost always on the move/in camp

7 am when we are busy 8 am normal days , leave between 4 and 6 if it’s busy ! Weekends off unless something needs done

Is there good money in welding? And if so, how long do you have to be in the field before you start making good money?

Not long before your making good money , you can get a job sweeping the floor of a welding shop for $18-$20 an hour and slowly learn from there how to weld. Once you can weld and pass your CWB test your a certified welder

Can someone get back to me whenever u can. But how hard is it to make 30 plus an hour as a welder. I saw that there are some huge companies that pay a lot. But that’s prolly not where I’ll be. So is it u heard of for someone young to get a job welding somewhere for 30 plus an hour?

You have to start somewhere, get hired pushing a broom for $20 Hr then maybe the boss will see potential if you work hard and teach you how to weld or if you know how to weld after pushing broom for a while show him your work ! Gotta work for it.
