I'm a Californian (who never writes comments) who was visiting London with my family on the day you filmed this video Lily and we all couldn't believe how hot it was! We followed many of your tips for what to see and where to eat so I want to thank you for that! We included a stay in London largely because of you and Anna! We loved London despite the high temps!

The jump suit is nice, it just looks like it is a size too small!!! Try getting the next size up on the jumpsuit and see if it looks better!!! The Red dress is awesome and a definite keeper, just get some gold accessories to go with it including shoes and handbag or purse, and try a gold belt with it as well!!!

I feel your pain too. I work on the 11th floor of an office block which means we have safety windows which only open 5cm! No air cons, two fans and we just melt! I haaaaate hot weather. Give me autumn all year round.

Lily invest in aircondition. it is Life changing. I have it in small apartment in Warsow Poland and i use it only in summer. but i love it..

Lily, as a fellow hayfever sufferer, I thought I'd share what my doctor told me recently. If taking antihistamines, it's important to rotate different ones about every 4 days. I also got a steroid nasal spray and steroid eye drops which have really helped. I also got a tablet to take at night which was originally used to treat asthma but is now used for allergies. I'm like a new woman 😃 Love your vlogs! x

111kofa hey, that's the one! The combination of everything has made such a difference.

Laura Lee I have used a similar regimen and it does wonders.Montelukast you take for almost 2-4 months and then stop and try to wean off the steroid spray using it occasionally on days when antihistamines don't seem to work. I'm just on cetrizine 1 tab at night right now.

I can totally sympathise with you on the hot weather. I am living in Melbourne just now and was living in an apartment for 3 months over the summer that got the sun all day and had one aircon unit in the corner of the lounge which was at the opposite end of the apartment from the bedroom. If you sat under it then you needed a cardigan but if you turned it off for even 10 minutes you were sweating buckets. Loved our new apartment when we came to see it on a 30 degree day and it was nice and cool without aircon because it NEVER GETS ANY DIRECT SUNLIGHT!

I don't know how the weather is right now in the UK but coming from an Aussie, some tips for surviving heatwaves: - air con or fans - something to move the air around; - a frozen bottle of water that melts as you carry it around - it's a life saver; - blinds so that you can block the sun out during the hottest part of the day; - if all else fails - a cold shower or flannel. Hope some of these help - i've survived 35°C ++ heatwaves with no air con (and a hangover) so you'll be fine :) xx

I don't doubt it, but the last thing I want to do after being out when it's 38C is have a warm shower! Lukewarm/tepid is probably the way to go. It's more just a refresh right? Thanks for the article!

Little tip against hay fever: you can buy special window gratings (I hope this is the right word) so the pollen can't come inside when you open the window! I found mine at the building supplies store! Love from Germany 😊

Maybe you could think about getting a fan for those hot days. I agree with you about the concerns about the clothes that you bought. They are all nice, but just not quite right. I would return them and look on Asos for the Wedding and Mango as you said for the summer dress. Love from Germany!

✨I love how jumpsuits look - but I have the same issue with the fit 😕. Always searching for the perfect one. I found one cute strapless one on Anthropologie. I think the key is to find one that has the waist starting higher closer to under the bust & places the fabric away from the tummy in the front.👌🏼

I saw Anna the other day complaining about the heat also. I can't imagine not having air conditioning. I turn my on in April and it doesn't go off until October. We have humidity which makes things 10x worse. I hope the heatwave breaks soon for all of you.

For a fellow female who does have air conditioning. Buy a strong fan and take a rinse before going to bed and put a swell bottle beside your bed it helps a lot.

I like the red polka dot dress. You might throw on some high waisted Spanx underneath as it really helps smooth out everything and make dresses look more flattering. The other pieces just aren't doing it. I have the same issues with jumpsuits. Hard to get the right fit.

30 is terrible hot for us as well, low 20's to mid with a breeze is comfy in the city. We rarely talk in the subway as well, actually, it would be unbearable if everyone was chatting up lol. The red and polka-dots is a classic, looks good.
