I've never understood why shooting into the sun is so anathema to many photographers. It can produce great images. Not everything begins and ends with perfect exposures.

My FujiFilm XF27mm f2.8 pancake lasted one day with me, put it on eBay the next day and bought a 56mm f1.2 instead. I bought an aftermarket lens hood and with that on and the focal length (40mm FF) as it was just too close and competing with my 35mm f1.4(50mm FF) imo, as to what I'd take out! Pancakes are decent but are susceptible to let in excess light without a hood. It is a sharp lens and defo would've considered it a keeper if I never had the 35mm. The thing is, it won't make any Fuji body pocketable - so a GR will always have that advantage. However, if you want to stay within Fuji and not learn a new system, want compact and a carry light kit, then it's a great option.

Any tips on how you keep the focus and the sharpness?

I found the TT Artisan 27mm AF lens to be more than adequate for ‘Street’ (on my X-Pro 3). I found the AF was accurate as long as I allowed it the 1 second focus time (which equated to the time it takes to pronounce a 2 syllable word, like ‘kerr-ching’)!
@frame-lines9 ай бұрын
hah well put cheers Colin - it’s a decent lens eh

If you carefully examine each image captured, at least 90% of those images could have been captured via a flagship smartphone. With their huge and bright screens, coupled to wide angle focal lengths, they are great for the type of shots shown in your above video. Even an old Canon GX or tiny Lumix GM1 or very old Sony NEX would hv captured those same images. And no one can tell what devices were used to capture such street images.
