A Day of Vanlife on the Yorkshire Coast

A couple of weekends ago, Oslo, Harvey and I decided to go for a daytrip on the Yorkshire Coast! We headed to Fraisthorpe Beach near Bridlington first for breakfast, and then walked the seacliffs on Flamborough Head to Thornwick Bay. It was chilly but beautiful, and so good to be beside the sea. It was also Oslo's first time travelling with us in the van and now I'm so excited to take him on longer trips :D

Used to go to the Yorkshire coast with my Mum and Dad this has brought back some lovely memories it was cold then i think the East coast is often a bit chilly especially if the wind is coming off the sea. Love Flamborough & Bempton been many times. Oslo is gorgeous, we have 2 Beagles they go everywhere with us in our VW California, they’ve been all around Scotland and on ferries to the Outer Hebrides, Orkney, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly. Enjoying working our way through your vlogs.

Oslo's so excited to be on the beach, bless him. Lovely scenery. There's some fabulous beaches in Northumberland too like Druridge Bay & Bamburgh. Also on the west coast of Scotland at Achmelvich near Lochinver, Sandwood Bay, Arisaig & Morar to name but a few though you may have visited some of these already. He loves the beach! He loves being able to run free 😊 I’ve been up to the beaches near Bamburgh a few times with my family. I love it up there! I think it’s so wild. We really want to do a Scotland roadtrip when we are allowed and let Oslo run free on all those amazing beaches on the west coast 🙏🏼

Bamburgh beach is like something from a fairytale with the castle right there, I love it. Holkham in Norfolk is a stunning beach, you have to walk along a boardwalk through a pine forest to get to it but my word it is worth the walk.

Michael Atkinson I lived in Pittenweem, walked along coast to Anstruther for my shopping and back again along the path. Did you visit Cambo while there? When you go again make sure to visit the beautiful walled garden of Cambo, and then through the wood to the sea. So beautiful. Then tea in the old stables or a toasty at Kingsbarn beach. Very relaxing music! My Granma used to take me to that beach during the war! In those days the beaches were covered in large concrete blocks with coils and coils of barbed wire! Dotted along the cliff top were concrete pill boxes with Akak guns and search lights! Bit of a change today! A great day out bringing back memories! I think Akak is right? It was made by my partner Harvey, it’s not a kit or anything. We bought these big, heavy duty drawer sliders and he built the drawers themselves to fit our van. I will make a video about the van soon 😊
