It makes me feel nostalgic in a strange way... I think it reminds me of the life I wanted so much when I was younger, but never had. I honestly feel like I have very few truly special memories, if any, to look back on. But at the same time, despite how troubling those years were, I appreciate what I had far more back then. I had youth, friends, and that was everything I needed. Now everything's so different, and I feel old at only 19(20 in July). It's rather bittersweet.

I know what they were talking about when they mentioned "playing with no one there." part of the lyrics, which I think they explained later when they were being interviewed. I think they said something about how when they got done with one show, a band didn't show up to play next door to where they were playing, so they went and played there too when they were done with the last show.

I Remember when got into this band wayyyy to late. the day What Separates Me From You came out a friend of mine came into class on monday and was freaking out like "YO DUDE MY FAVORITE BAND JUST RELEASED A NEW ALBUM YOU HAVE TO HEAR THIS" and at the time i ONLY listened to Metallica and Pantera. so he showed me 2nd Sucks and it felt like time stopped it was just some new type of heavy for me at the time. i was so hooked on that song it was all i listened to. one day i decided i should listen to more than just that song and first one that came up was Downfall of Us All so i clicked on that and was shocked when i realized it was like "happy" but heavy and i had never heard something like it and then i realized they just did everything like i didnt think a band could do more than just one genre. this band in short changed my fucking life. best thing thats ever happened to me.

I love this song. It is speaking to me today! I am getting out of a highly abusive marriage. I met the guy in the Army where I traveled all over the country. I have been in hiding since he and his mother have tried to kill me at least twice. So these lyrics speak to me. "You wonder why I hide myself from everyone, from everything. Man, come on. You wouldn't last a day as me. Everyone loves me for my past, but they always hate me in the present. Why can't you just be the somewhere in the middle. Its in the hardest times you grow the most." I had to escape and stayed hidden 4 months, and then I had to go back to the state my ex was in to finish my residency. While there he tried to kill me again. I had to stay there for 8 months while he stalked me, broke in, and stole things from me including my car. Now I am in hiding again for 4 months. During this time of homelessness and trying to divorce this man for 1.5 years, I have grown so much! Its bananas how artists make songs and they never know who is listening and how they are interpreting their song.

This song depresses the crap out of me. I don't have anything great to remember. and it's like wow I have no life. :/

This is a great song and I really love the talking, strangely enough. Whenever I shuffle my ipod I don't bother skipping the talking on this. I feel like I'm right there with you guys and it's just amazing.

My family and I are dealing with the possibility of my grandmother having breast cancer and whilst listening to this song it hit home and made me tear up.
