A Day Tour of Godafoss Waterfall, Lake Myvatn and Akureyri Botanical Garden

Hello ! Join my Day Tour of Godafoss Waterfall and Lake Myvatn (waterfall and volcanoes tour), Akureyri, Iceland - the land of fire and ice.
The tour showcases Iceland's most
breathtaking landscapes and geological marvels, including Godafoss, Hverir, and Dimmuborgir.
First we went to Godafoss Waterfall, the ‘waterfall of the gods.' The Goðafoss waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland with a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.
Next, the Námaskarð Hverir Geothermal area,
located in the vicinity of Lake Myvatn.
Myvatn region has experienced intense volcanic activity over the millennia and this has shaped and influenced the landscape in fascinating ways.
The natural beauty and geothermal activity is awesome. The mesmerizing hues of red, yellow, and white at the geothermal site of Hverir makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different planet.
Next, we headed to Dimmuborgir - the Dark Fortress at Mývatn. Here we learned how lava sculptures were formed and about the
Icelandic Yule Lads, the 13 sons of vicious trolls and the mythical 13 Santa's of Iceland.

Then, we explored the remarkable pseudo (imitation) craters that border Lake Mývatn. The craters may appear volcanic craters, but no lava spewed or flowed from them. Rather they were formed when lava flowed into the wetlands bordering the lake. The meeting of boiling magma and the waters of the lake resulted in steam explosion in the ground here, giving them their crater shape.
Lastly, we visited Akureyri Botanical Garden. It’s just 750 meters away from our rented apartment, The Studio White Bears. It’s a small, charming garden with beautiful flowers, arctic circle plant life, interesting plants. Admission is free and it’s well worth a visit.

こんにちは！火と氷の国アイスランド、アークレイリのゴーザフォス滝とミーヴァトン湖の日帰りツアー（滝と火山ツアー）にご参加ください。
このツアーでは、ゴーザフォス、クヴェリル、ディムボルギルなど、アイスランドで最も息を呑むような風景と地質学的驚異をご覧いただけます。
まず、「神々の滝」ゴーザフォス滝へ行きました。ゴーザフォスの滝は、高さ12メートル、幅30メートルのアイスランドで最も壮観な滝の1つです。
次に、ミーヴァトン湖の近くにあるナーマスカルズ・クヴェリル地熱地帯へ。
ミーヴァトン地域は、何千年にもわたって激しい火山活動を経験し、それが魅力的な方法で風景を形成し、影響を与えてきました。
自然の美しさと地熱活動は素晴らしいです。地熱地帯のフヴェリルの魅惑的な赤、黄、白の色合いは、まるで別の惑星に足を踏み入れたかのような気分にさせてくれます。
次に、私たちはミーヴァトンのダーク フォートレス、ディムボルギルに向かいました。ここで、溶岩の彫刻がどのように形成されたか、アイスランドのユール ラッド、凶暴なトロルの 13 人の息子、アイスランドの神話上の 13 人のサンタについて学びました。
ディムボルギルの幻想的でシュールな溶岩原は非常に魅力的です。
その後、ミーヴァトン湖に隣接する驚くべき疑似クレーターを探索しました。クレーターは火山のクレーターのように見えますが、そこから溶岩が噴出したり流れ出たりしたわけではありません。むしろ、溶岩が湖に隣接する湿地帯に流れ込んだときに形成されたものです。沸騰するマグマと湖の水が出会うことで、地面で水蒸気爆発が起こり、クレーターのような形になりました。
最後に、アークレイリ植物園を訪れました。私たちが借りているアパート「The Studio White Bears」からわずか 750メートルのところにあります。美しい花、北極圏の植物、興味深い植物が生い茂る、小さくて魅力的な庭園です。入場料は無料で、訪れる価値があります。自然の驚異をぜひお楽しみください。
