Of course, ORB is an old idea. However, to the best of our knowledge, our paper is the first one testing the strategy systematically using intra-day data and a large number of stocks.

I trade stocks on news basis. Index trading is mostly bs, most of the time.

This strategy is outlined in Toby Crabel’s 1990 book and even at that time I believe ORB was already a known strategy among traders.

@@WasimTrades the fact you said „he makes more“ and not „I make more using his strategies“ should tell you something. If it works, why aren’t you using yourself as an example? Because you can’t. I know it’s difficult to accept, I have been there. But: You won’t make money long term using technical analysis only. It’s nothing but a timing tool and it doesn’t generate any trade ideas. I have been working 80h-100h a week using only TA for 2 years (2020-2022). Lost money overall. And it wasn’t for a lack of understanding. As soon as I got into fundamental analysis things started to make sense. Quit wasting time and do the work, Chart Picasso. Please, do yourself a favor.
