Namaste We are Shirish and Pooja
and Welcome to "Hibiscus Special" Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬
In this Episode Pooja is trying new dishes, non traditional but organic and made with ingredients sourced from nature itself. She will make Hibiscus flower flavored popcorn, Hibiscus tea, Hibiscus flavored Halwa and Ayurvedic Oil.
For Ayurvedic Oil, Pooja plucked Hibiscus flowers from our Village and other key ingredients and medicinal herbs like Hibiscus Leaves, Anantamool ( Indian Sarsaparilla ), Bhringaraj (False daisy ), Durva Grass, Brahmi ( water hyssop ), Henna Leaves ( Mehendi ), Curry Leaves, Indigenous rose, Neem Leaves, Ajwain Leaves, Krishna Tulasi ( Holy Basil ), Aloe Vera, Mustard seeds, Fenugreek seeds, Black sesame seeds, Onion, Amla ( Indian gooseberry ) and Ginger. Then she boiled all these ingredients in cast iron pan in Virgin Coconut oil.
Before making ayurvedic oil, We made Hibiscus flavored Popcorn and Hibiscus Tea simultaneously and enjoyed together. After this in the afternoon Pooja prepared Ayurvedic Oil.
In the next morning Pooja collected the dried petals of Hibiscus and stored for further use in tea, sweets or oil.
Then she started preparing for Hibiscus flavored halwa. She had extracted the hibiscus extract and Beetroot extract which she used as a flavor in Halwa. It also gave the Hibiscus halwa a nice Pink color.
Later in the evening I (Shirish) returned home and saw Pooja was applying Ayurvedic Oil to her hair and asked her something to eat and to my surprise I got to eat Hibiscus Halwa. The Halwa was very delicious indeed.!

I like your videos, but one request to Pooja. When you pluck flowers, leaves etc from nature, use one hand to hold the branch and then pluck whatever with your other hand, that way the plant's will not be hurt by rough handling. 🙏
