Fun fact: Julia Savicheva ( 2004), Lena Temnikova (2007) and Polina Gagarina (2015) all rose to fame in 2003 after competing in the same season of the show ("Star Factory", or as other countries call it, "Star Academy", "Operacion Triunfo", etc.). Julia was 5th, Lena came 3rd, and Polina won.

"Mamo" is actually a very good song. If there hadn't been some problems with her voice during the performance in the grand final, I would have voted for her that night. And if you pay attention, you'll hear that the backing vocalist sings the same lyrics as the main singer always the same amount of time after her, like a perfect echo. That's extremely hard to do. It fits very well into the song's general atmosphere and with its lyrics: like an echo of regrets from the past, or a warning from the future.

Russia is one of my favourite Eurovision countries, but I never liked their winning song! My favourite entries are 2007 (my second favourite Russian entry of all times), 2009 and 2006!

Here is the time difference. 12 years old and people have a different opinion about this song. Previously, people really wanted her to win, but now they consider her the worst song. Personally, I like this song, it has a lot of meaning, and Dima himself performed it well.
