I think have uses, such as when you have a section where it would be almost impossible otherwise for the average player to do (or in a blind corner), or used as an obstacle.

really nice video, just one question: why so many checkpoints. sure, it could be cheesed, but a quarter of the checkpoints should be enough. on the other hand, I understand, they are the only way to know if you are ahead, when trying to find the best time.

Great question, Yes checkpoints are great for both of those reasons, and as a good rule of thumb, you should have a checkpoint around every 12 seconds of track for split timing. I did not feel that there were to many checkpoints on this track.... my longest track that I have made which takes 8:30 to finish has a ton of checkpoints too.

@@zamboughnuts The lines that show up are from a mod called level editor trails mod, that mod helps with being able to see where jumps will finish, increasing efficiency and ease of building tracks 😁
