It's been a super long time since my last normal upload, but here it is: A video on everyone's favorite blue creature, and the phenomenon surrounding her. Although it seems everyone nowadays has their own take on Mizli Syndrome, I put it in a way that is based off of what I think. The best part of the video is near the end, so make sure to watch it.

There is something worth to point about how different the meta between back then and today. Around the time Mizli was released, the meta is still fixated on ranged unit. Unit that focused on range and preservable DPS but lack of durability and disposability. Which is why the idea of exposing your Backliner on danger is such a foolish thought. Mizli was a liability. However, today's meta changes. It's rusher time, baby. We got many new units that support the idea of rushdown strategy such as Courier Cat, talented CanCan, Naala, etc. You can use Mizli to do some crazy and funny thing like opening path to get early kill on Backliner boss or trapping enemy inside the base and cheese the stage. Mizli is now just another part of strategy building.

Yes but no? Back when Mizli was big, there were only two backliners you didn't want to push into the range of. Ursamajor and Calamary. Project-A, Corporal Weyland, Garden Eel, and Ribbo were all Crowd Control/gimmick, meanwhile Cli-One, Sunfish Jones, and Elder Sloth all depended on frontliners tanking for them, due to their slow attacks. You did have other backliners like Maawth, but Maawth was also used as a pusher at times, so that's a very rare case. Even then, the LDR units usually outranged it.

This term is probably the most annoying thing to talk about when discussing a unit Every time someone sees knockback they instantly assume the unit is shit and causes you to lose I remember seeing a full essay from someone who genuinely thought Kasli was a bottom tier unit simply because of mizli syndrome

@@DollarGenius805curse is nice to have over nothing, but most enemies are stat-based and the debuts don’t matter too much on many stages (although some enemies are a good deal easier without their abilities).

One of the things that’s often missed about Mizli Syndrome that I’m glad you somewhat addressed is that it’s the result of an ability being too good at controlling enemies. Mizli’s ability to control Aliens is OP, but her limitation is her lack of piercing range which results in backliners often not being affected by her at all. This is why I really like using units like Satoru since the large LD affects pretty much every target on the field.

Just one additional thing about mizli effect that i think is probably worth a mention. A unit with only the slow ability can still cause you to have the mizli effect under certain circumstances. I was doing NRF 3 star once and was struggling real hard until I realized that cyberpunk was causes the mizli effect. Dolphina is a unit with high amounts of knockback, which meant that whenever cyberpunk hit them, and there were no ottas in the front line, they will be knocked back and stay behind, causes all of my midranged units to walk into prof a and subsequently dying. Its just a very small edge case that i think is worth mentioning, slow ability vs units with very high kb counts could also count as mizli effect.

I have experience with an anti alien uber with the knock back ability, reindeer terun, although she only has knockback, I used to see her as such a powerful uber when I completed ITF although she may have not been good and her ability being bad, she was incredibly powerful, basically kinda telling me that ability is kinda beaten by power, her knock back would also save me from countless of deaths

Before watching this video I want to say I see mizli as a staller that can defend you so you can get your actual damage dealer's back. To me it makes sense cause she has short cooldown, tough vs, knock back and slow, and low cost

I just want to point out that according to the canon, ItF takes place in 29XX, and teases that the cats are building a rocket at the end. However, CoTC takes place in 20XX, which is amusing to me. This means that either they time travelled, which is honestly more likely, or they went to space first, then the aliens invaded earth, in that case, their invasion is completely justified imo. Great video as always. Edit: 1:51 Lol FSG references are always funny. I also want to mention that my opinion of Mizli is great, but I think that alien backliners are not a huge problem, as she resists them. Generally its alien frontliners and non-alien backliners that become problematic.

Mizli is one of my favorite Ubers because of how much she carried me in ITF. Mizli syndrome literally almost never happens to me. I understand she could be bad sometimes but most of the time she controls the entire field. Now I use her less especially in UL but in the right scenarios she crushes everything. If you get her don’t be sad because she’s simply really fun and almost always good in early game-mid game. I honestly hate how the community destroyed her. Also I love the little moment at the end where he goes insane.

This video basically sums up why i stopped watching/taking xskulls & Siluman seriously. (Its not just them but BC tierlists/rankings in general.) As i feel they always bash units way to hard. So i generally do my own thing & have even made "low tier units" like coppermine shine with right set up. I Still remember the time when xskull had to change the whole philosophy behind his rankings cause back in the day ppl hyped generlists units to no end, while bashing on specialists even when they destroyed their niche. Most tier lists/rankings back in the day for sum odd reason would act like said unit was the only unit in your line up of 10 slots. Also some of them were very opinonated showing distate 4 units they delt were overhyped, like I'm here for objective facts. That annoyed me to no end xD. Good video tho, I've seen another youtuber (forgot the name) whos also trying to vouch for/correct some of the mizil misinformation & just cause meta has changed now a days to rush down style alot more. (That ending was super funny)

For me honestly mizli is not that bad and the ability of crown control really helps especially in later parts of cotc and even into the future where alien enemies become a massive pain without treasures and even with treasures but the fact a whole stupid debacle and phrase all coming from some scumch with not really good agurements dominated the whole community for a while shows that not everything is trusted most of the time

I was wondering why Mizli was considered bad by the community, as I used Aphrodite Mizli combo for the entirety of Into the Future and Cats of the Cosmos. The combo worked amazingly, and my strategy always consisted on using Mizli to put front and backliner enemies together so my long range backline, including Aphrodite can crush them all at once

in my new acc, i had gravolodon as one of my first ubers. he's is super underrated, this dude carried me against LD enemies and alien stages hard. some of the hardest alien stages becomes free with him around. he's also an absolute carry in "the dead keep rolling stage" where paired with housewife and ectoweight cat, he demolishes the le-solars, the ultra baa baas, and the alien frog warper. he's also amazing against zombie stages too, being able to counter most zombies due to his powerful burst damage and wave attacks. ngl, i used to be one of those who views him as a bad unit before even getting the unit due to bad reviews on YT.

to be fair, aphro alone as a ranged unit is enough to wipe swim meet, with seafarer alone as a debuffer should be enough to deal with the lemurrs due to his great survivability, good proc chance, over 100% freeze uptime, fast foreswing, and good damage. meaning that example doesn't provide much value.
