If you take the trigger pin in or out the left side you have to work your slide release through 2 slots....so in and out the right side is best

Bought several extended slide stop for Gen 5 from Glock store years ago and they've held up well. The early Gen 5 slide stops coating was garbage but seems they've remedied this on current Gen 5 guns less than a year old.

I was experiencing premature slide lock backs on the G41. The cause was that the locking block pin had walked out to the right side of the frame, which reduced the spring tension of the slide lock. Possibly, the slide stop spring was weak and could not hold the locking block pin in place? I replaced the slide lock with your extended slide lock and (so far) no further problem with the locking block pin walking out nor with premature slide lock back.

I had a problem with these.. That little extra material caused the slide to lock back while shooting, especially when rapid firing. Guess my grip didn’t get along with it.

new and improved lmao..... i bought the i guess "old" model for my 43x and it was garbage, did not fit at all and would not move up and was grinding against the lower.. it was terrible and all of a sudden they drop a brand new version.... im beyond mad lmao

It "wears" it out. It breaks it in but doesn't wear it out. It'll probably break just from locking long before from using it as a release.

slide stops aren't an issue...slide locks are, especially on gen 5's. i can't for the life of me remove my slide with the OEM crap.

Operator Error(due to trendy shooting techniques/gripping) is what causes people to lock their frame back. I've never had that issue and noticed it's also a somewhat recent phenomenon. Due to the trend. Learn to shoot better.

If you actually know how to shoot a Glock (thumbs forward grip with left hand on the frame) then you know that having an extended slide lock/release causes malfunctions and slide lock back when one does not want slide lock back. You should never be using that piece on your Glock anyways because during stress fine motor skills deteriorate.
