I started when it was called a BLT . Stood for Battalion landing team. We called ourselves Bacon lettuce and tomato. Named changed but not the dedication and determination. Being part of a MEU is one of the hardest accomplishments as a marine. Started in 73 sailed on 6 ships under 6 presidents.

Seals are trained by usmc tactics and in their manual it states if you get in trouble call the marines. Marines first in last out. Marines have always been air land and sea. Do it all. Marines protect the navy.

It's ongoing. Not all squadrons have been transitioned. I did transitioning of squadrons from the CH-46 to the MV-22. It takes about a year and a half for each stand-up and another six months to get them deployment ready, depending on aircraft deliveries.

As one who worked on job crews building the machines that loaded, compressed and other operations of munitions manufacturing in the 80's, the questions I have to ask are: "Where are the components of the weaponry in the aresenal made?" Last I checked, there are only two ship building plants in operation. The skill set, the work ethic and the morals involved have been diminished greatly over the years. There is much more to fighting than meets the eye. I have my concerns.
