Is there a problem with using high ratio reels and slowing down the retrieve vs say an actual 6:1? I can't get my lures back or sometimes over the top of stuff quickly with the lower ratio but im always consciously retrieving my higher gear ratio reels at the speed I want the lure to move and I can more easily burn it back or over whatever I want.

I love the no name bait. Has the exact same body as the no name yum bait I showed you at the straight up fishing school in florida. If yall could make a version with the "tentacles" like a brush hog and a version with kicker claws like the Hella craw or the goat id never buy anything other than those...... orrrrrr if you added kickers about an inch up the tentacles. Would add gnarly action to the appendages and give the option to snip them off at the kicker. Best of both worlds
