Most people that have rosacea tend to have some sort of stomach issue. I highly recommend tracking what you eat, figuring out your trigger foods, seeing a gastroenterologist to see if you might have ibs or SIBO. The face is a window to the gut.

Yes agree there’s a link with Rosacea and the ingestion/stomach. And yes I think it’s about our food intolerances or allergies that also triggers or contribute to our rosacea. I am diagnosed with rosacea, and have a few triggers (fragrance, red wine, beer, exfoliants, tomatoes...) But for some reason, a few minutes in the sun actually helps my rosacea calm down, as long as it's not too hot. Fortunately, my dermatologist prescribed topical ivermectin cream and that has helped SO MUCH. That combined with a vitamin C serum + daily moisturizer, I rarely have flare ups anymore and it, fortunately, was caught early. But still, I am scheduled to have laser treatment for the small number of permanent capillaries on my skin. If you have rosacea, I highly suggest not trying to deal with it via OTC products only. I tried for years and none truly helped. It just gets worse. Can cause permanent damage. Go to your doctor! I even have crappy insurance and am poor af, but can afford it. Good luck!

That was your informative post, here area few more tips for people who might have Rosacea. 1. Do you really think you have Rosacea or have you been looking on the internet too much? It may be common, affecting up to 1 tenth of people, but red faces are not always rosacea. Dermatologists often see patients who are worried that they may have developed rosacea, perhaps following a bit of internet searching, but they may actually have another condition altogether. Facial redness simply occurs because there in increased blood flow to the top part of the skin, perhaps because of inflammation, sun damage or fixed widening of vessels.
@jana69123 жыл бұрын
I noticed many people in the comments wanting cheaper products, so I thought I'd give my two cents. I only have a mild form of Rosacea, only really the flush, just keep that in mind. I also am still quite young and don't know much about anti-aging skincare but anyhow: I suggest baby products. Usually, drugstores carry different brands in different price ranges so you can try and pick what suits you best. The basics (cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen) are all there in the baby-section. Plus they are specifically made for very sensitive skin, shouldn't break you out or cause allergies And then maybe you could splurge for one Intense treatment by a more expensive brand. I have tried and liked the Avene Antirougeurs Fort and the La Roche Posay Rosaliac AR Intense (both cost I think around 20 euros). Maybe you can find sales, use coupons, or wish for these items for birthdays or Christmas, which is what I usually do.

If you have mites, they give you antibiotics - oral and topical. Some treat with metronidazole (form of gel or cream applied to skin). I was given this and it did not help. Depending on what kind of rosacea you have, this can be help or not. I have redness/large pores and time to time when it flares up really bad, I have bumps and pimples (papulopustular rosacea). For this, my dermatologist prescribes me hydrocortizone 2.5% but not recommended to use often because it causes the thinning of the skin - which can lead to broken capillaries. So he tells me to use any 1% which is available over the counter. This does help but not as much as 2.5%. I go for regular laser treatments and it helps to suppress the inflammation and reduces the visible capillaries. Some dermatologists have recommended me for an ultrasound facial. All these treatments help to only SUPPRESS and not cure. Not to mention, it is super expensive. I've been misdiagnosed in my teen years and they have told me that this is acne. They prescribed me acne medicine and it made it worse. Now I've been doing this research for years on my own and through trial and error, I think my next approach is to try Chinese herbal medicine. To treat it from inside out. All the dermatologists tell you to treat it on the surface because that is what they're trained to do. Either prescribe topical creams or antibiotics - which is not long term.

@@itsatrap4729 I never tried! But I am studying to be an esthetician right now and some things I have learned that worked for me is completely opposite from what some dermatologist recommend me as treatments. For example, some dermatologists have told me to use vitamin C and I realized it is super aggressive on my sensitive skin. I stopped using it and it has reduced the inflammation so much. As well as changing the toner -- w absolutely no alcohol in my skincare routine.

@@devu8754 I have had the excel-v treatment to target visible veins. I think this type of laser is much stronger. For redness and inflammation, they used laser genesis. I have been going for my treatments for over 2 years now consistently and there were times it would make my skin better and some other times, it will flare up even more! I'm not sure if it is because the facilities have poor after care, since all they do is put on a soothing moisturizer and sunscreen afterwards. I heard from few sources that after care for laser is crucial - to WASH and apply. most medspas and dermatologist offices do not perform this. Also, after a few years of getting this treatment done consistently every 2 months, i believe that my skin is compromised. They will always tell you to come back every 2 months. I think this is highly unnecessary and a way for them to make money. I would advise for you to get 3 treatments at a time and give your skin a break.

If you have rosaceea ...you have demodex mites living on your face. Use tea tree oil 2 times a day at least but please make sure you dilute it 50% with coconut oil for around your eyes. You have to clean the whole face and eyes (remember for the eyes 50% tea tree oil and 50% coconut oil because it is too strong and it is going to burn your eyes). You have to do this for at least 2 months every day and you will have a normal, beautiful, glowing face. Nobody will tell you this because acneea, rosaceea is a billion dollar business and big pharma makes tons of moneys on this. Good luck!!!
@brittanym42183 жыл бұрын
And on Google you won't find this info...because it is censured. Go in DuckDuckGo and do a search on rosaceea and demodex mites and you will find a lot of people who suffer from this and tons of info.

so pleased with your advice, by using creams I had aggravated the oil on my eyelids which caused an infected blocked cyst, your advice has reduced the inflammation within a week, although the cyst has not completely disappeared I can feel and see that it is getting there.

What do you mean by ‘healed’? Can you give me more details? Did it completely heal and nothing triggers it? Did you also track what triggered it before? It would be helpful. Thank you
@nicoleherondale76903 жыл бұрын
@@sriyapradhan2692 You can't completely heal rosacea (according to my derm). You can go into remission and it may last as long as you stay away from triggers (heat, dairy, alcohol, gluten -- most common ones). These tips she gave aren't really helpful tips except the one about avoiding triggers and sunscreen. The best tips I've learned are: 1) Avoid triggers 2) using products for AT LEAST 6 weeks (consistency is key! Unless it gave you a bad reaction from tue get go..then you can try something else) 3) The best thing would be to heal your rosacea from the inside out. Change how you eat SLOWLY. Cut things out one by one and then add them back one by one. If you flare you'll know what it was. For me, it's gluten and any spicy foods, that make me instantly flare. Drink aloe water (i started drinking it about 2 weeks ago. Slowly but surely is making a difference in my metabolism especially. Take a probiotic (they restore good bacteria), and take supplements that come from plants/herbs. I haven't tried either a probiotic or a supplement yet but am hoping to start soon. I've heard good things about a probiotic called Mary Ruth Organics (but it's expensive to ship here in Canada) so I've been looking for something like it. 4) Don't ever leave without wearing SPF! Even on rainy and cloudy days. 5) Stay away from FRAGRANCE. It is the devil for rosacea. I have type 2 (the one eith pimples) and it reached its worst when i was using things with fragrance. No essential oils, no fruit extracts like citrusy things. They're soo irritating for sensitive/reactive skin like ours. Pills and creams have not helped me at all. In fact I think antibiotics made it worse. After 2 rounds of Doxycycline (one 6 week period and the second was for 6 months) and my skin was clear but it didn't STAY clear when I got off of it. It always comes back. That's why I agree that it's mostly about the gut. For some people though it's demodex mites and the best thing for that is ivermectin, prescribed as Soolantra -- very expensive for me and it did nothing. So i know it wasn't mites for me. Hope this helps :)

Cetaphil. They have great products with SPF that are gentle and more affordable compared to other products out there
@minalara10684 жыл бұрын
Salki when you say 3 types please elaborate. Do you have acne rosacea as well? I have both rosacea, combination skin that in periods can be dehydrated or dry. And at same time also have pigmentation and enlarged pores. So I feel with you girl. When you need to target and treat different skin conditions and they are sometimes each opposites. It can be frustrating and confusing. I have decided to in the near time to get IPL treatment for rosacea. I have only heard great things of it. And at same time I will go and get some test done about food allergies and intolerances since it’s often linked to our skin disease. So I can suggest to try these things. May I ask if you eat spicy food and whether you use products with perfumes, alcohol? ? Because you look amazing in your picture. I don’t see any signs of rosacea. Mine is sadly visible. Though not severe but neither mild.

Hey ! Do you have any tips for me ? I have sensitive skin
@alyssamarie89984 жыл бұрын
@@luiiivelo1620 Hi, Luiii. I too have sensitive skin. You can check the ingredients of your cleanser to make sure it is safe for your skin type. I use the Skincarisma website to check ingredients and also find new products. I don't have many, but here are some tips: • After you cleanse, gently pat dry with a cotton round or paper towel instead of a towel. They are too rough and not as sanitary. • Leave skin slightly damp after you pat dry if you have serums, toners, essences etc that you use. Many of those products absorb better when the skin is slightly wet. • make sure your cleanser does not contain small beads that are meant to exfoliate. They can cause micro-tears in the skin. Instead, use a chemical exfoliant, such as the Gentle Resurfacing Liquid from Deviant* *you will have to be on the wait list for that, I am hoping it comes back in stock soon because it is amazing). I'm still searching for another chemical exfoliant but I will let you know when I do. Here are the products I am using right now (in order of application): • Hanyul Morning Gel Cleanser • Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner • COSRX Hydrium Triple Hyaluronic Moisture Ampoule • Sidmool Royal Honey Peptide Deep Moisture Pack (for extra hydration during the winter months, or for dry skin) I hope this helps!
@alyssamarie89983 жыл бұрын
@@luiiivelo1620 *Updated* I have found chemical exfoliant products 😊 They will work best if they are used in conjunction. Humane BHA Pore Minimizer Stratia Soft Touch AHA A little more info on these: Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) should be used after Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). If you are curious why, it has to do with absorbancy. I suggest that you look into that further. Use these ONLY as directed (not everyday) and always immediately after cleansing. Chemical exfoliating is incredible, and an absolute staple in advanced skincare. I hope that you look into these products.

Sorry, had to stop watching after you recommended Avene. This is a horrible brand that uses fragrance (a common rosacea irritant) and also dyes (which is terrible for everyone)! For a gentle retinol product you should have recommended cera ve retinol serum which is a low dose of encapsulated retinol which is one of the gentlest forms of retinol due to being encapsulated and slow release. This is an actual gentle sensitive skin brand, as is cetaphil although they don’t have a retinol product. I have rosacea and am triggered by everything, yet this retinol product is very comfortable on my skin. I find it really frustrating when all these rosacea skincare videos or articles suggest products that are so wrong for sensitive skin. I expected better from a dermatologist though
