I really appreciate how the panel gave 30minutes of presentation time, and another 20-30 minutes for Q&A. We know interior student spend the whole semester working on their design and deserve to spent that much time to present it. I go to a school which let me present my final in 15 mins and 5 mins Q&A which quite dissapointing, especially if they run out of time, and they shorten the time even more for the later batch of students.

I study architecture and one time my presentation was cut because it exceeded the limit of 5 mins... You can't possibly explain a whole project within a 5 min time limit. That's so disrespectful.

My final is 4-5 minutes , it ruins the presentation as you don’t have time for story telling or expand on your research etc

If my reasoning for any choice I made in the design process is "I thought it would be really cool" I would not major as an architect. I could also not propose a luxury project since here in Chile we are taught to be a lot more aware when it comes to societies needs and need to be able to really validate why we are choosing a certain program and wether it is need it or not. I find it amuzing the difference of how the disciplines are taught in different countries.

This entire presentation was inspirational. You can tell how deeply she thought about the project and in a short amount of time she managed to walk us through the whole experience. I wonder if this will become a reality... it should

The best part is the discussion conjured by the reviewers... Meaning it was a great enough project to have them discussing it like that... Real inspiring...

hi .. today is the 13th August 2018 .. which is about 4 1/2 yrs after this video was made. i had so many negative things to say BUT after the Q&A section, then it occured to me that, this is not the architecture school that i went to in Malaysia. Anywhere else, examiners, like those here in the video, are, very positive and coming up ideas/comments that would only make the design move forward. I forgot that i had a short wonderful experience being in an architectural school in the UK where the lecturers are all positive, eveything is moved forward and it was funnily a culture shock to me. That's why the WEST is always in front. All the best to beautiful Brett.

Renders could definitely use more work, but I know too well that to master rendering is close to impossible given time constrain Presentation apart from the 'awesome' and 'cool' was truly outstanding. Perfect conversational semi-colloquial tone mixed with great clarity.

Why is there a panel for this? What purpose does it serve?
@rodrigojimenez79597 жыл бұрын
Trish, this is her final presentation. The last year of her studies, she have to choose a final project to present in front of a panel; she have to put in practice all she learned in previous years such as rendering, research, design skills, computer skills, communications etc. The panel always have teachers and professionals to evaluate her performance and give her advice.
@trishschmidt85307 жыл бұрын
Okay. I was just curious as to why it isn't just her professor judging and why it is a panel. Is that the way it will be once she is in the field working? Is this like a procedure that makes it "official"? Because I just think that the same presentation can be done with her professor and her class. I guess I still don't get why it is a panel. What does that do?
