They always forget to be sad, or even worse they'll pretend to cry, which never ends well ... I had a friend die from an overdose, I'm not even an emotional guy but I was inconsolable for weeks. Even as I'm typing this years later I tear up a little, if I were to be interrogated in the immediate aftermath, I don't think I'd have even been able to talk, yet this dude is cool as a cucumber.

*****BIGTIME SPOILER ALERT***** Within days of the murder, Metropolitan Police Department (MPDC) alleged that the crime scene had been tampered with, but no charges were filed for over two years. In late 2008, police charged Price, Zaborsky, and Ward with obstruction of justice and conspiracy related to alleged tampering with the crime scene. The men were acquitted of the charges in June 2010. No one has been charged with Wone's killing. In November 2008, Wone's widow, Katherine Wone, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Price, Zaborsky, and Ward; the suit was settled on August 3, 2011, for an undisclosed sum and agreement. There was not a discrepancy about the phone. Yes he said the dude ran upstairs to get the phone and he brought it down with him it was a cordless phone. Which is why they were standing next to each other and the dude their interviewing could hear Victor's half of the conversation. And so far as I've heard, his story seems pretty consistent. He's not changing things according to what they're saying if they say something that disagrees with what he has said he just tells them well I don't know this is what happened. Now I've not finished this video yet, so maybe he is guilty I don't know. But if he is and he's lying, it's pretty good at it I will say this He's awfully calm or somebody who's longtime friend just died in his living room, stabbed to death. As for it being odd that he's still in touch with somebody he was friends with when the dude was 18, well, that's bullshit. Up until recently I was still friends with somebody I met when we were 14, or 52 now. So, even though we're not friends now, we were for a very long time

I think what has them suspicious is that there was another landline phone that was closer than the third story one that he ran up the stairs to go to. There was one on a desk near the door. So I think the detectives were trying to dig into whether it was really to get the phone, or to hide evidence, or something else.

I definitely agree the first set of detectives did not do the best when it came to trying to rile him up with the teenage friends. Their attempts and justifications for their questions were just outright silly and not going in the direction they were trying. There’s too many legit answers that you’d say if innocent about being having teenage friends you’ve known for decades or for being friends with people without having a sexual/romantic want to have a relationship with them. It just was too messy
@AfterTheRain_Beth

@AfghansOffTheHook I completely agree with you. He is completely consistent no matter how hard the detectives try to imply they are catching him out in a lie. Also I've heard The Behaviour Panel say that innocent people will say "I don't know" when a guilty person will tend not to do that, they will try to provide answers and detail for everything. He's very confident, kind of the way you would be if you know you're innocent. I find the detective on the left pretty offensive, esp implying that a gay guy can't have a male friend and not fancy that. He goes over his story again and again as though it is straight from memory, not as though he's trying to remember lies and a fake story.

Innocent or guilty, these detectives need to hang it up. I'm not sorry. They sound like a couple of old dodders who can't keep their own conversations straight. Acting like it's weird to have a straight friend around. They say something and then say the dude actually said it. And Did he really say "the blood wouldn't be on the finger that you said it was on if you lifted his T-shirt"??? They are literally grasping at anything hoping to trip him up, but it just makes them sound like they don't have any common sense. "That's not what you said" seems to be their only line of interrogation, even when it IS what he said. I'm only halfway through and I would have been smashing my head against the wall by now if I had to listen to them in real life. Agreed. These officers were also blatantly homophobic and it's gross, especially since they were using negative gay stereotypes to try and create motive for the suspect. Not just that, they sound incredibly uneducated. The difference in dialogue between the suspect and the investigators is staggering. If this is how they treat one vulnerable group, I can only imagine how they treat racial minorities and women. I can't really decide the suspect's involvement, but if I were gay and had some of the things they said thrown at me, I'd be lawyering up as fast as humanly possible and looking into what I can do to get those two investigated themselves for discriminatory practices.

Great job on audio! For anyone who's interested in some more of the details of this case it's a really crazy one! I wanted to share some details bc the victim who, was an extremely successful lawyer & had just landed a job for the General Council for Radio Free Asia, a non-profit American news organization aimed at supplying uncensored media content to under-served & oppressed communities in Asia. Price & Robert who were lifelong friends even revamped a campus secret society called the 13 Club that did covert acts of kindness. Prosecuters & L.E. painted the 3 suspects to be horrible men & imo atleast this next part was bc they're allegedly gay. They said Price owned the 2 men who lived with him & he ran that household doing whatever he wanted to do from wild sex to drugs to wild parties etc. They made even more, extreme accusations about their lifestyle. Robert spent the nt bc he had attended a legal seminar that night & wanted to be back at work early the next morning so he could introduce himself to the 2nd shift staff. The commute hm was too far on public transportation so he & his wife agreed it made more sense for him to spend the nt with them as they lived close by. He was not "secretly gay," & wasn't there for some wild party. Price was in a long-term committed relationship with Victor Zaborsky, a Senior Marketing Manager for Milk PEP, or Milk Processors Education Program, i.e., the people responsible for the famous “Got Milk?” The 2 fathered 2 sons with a lesbian couple & seemed to be pillars of the gay community. In 2004, they had brought Dylan Ward, a Georgetown graduate who seemed to bounce around to different careers into their relationship. The 3 of them moved into a 1.2 million dollar townhome off Dupont Circle. They described themselves as a family & maintained a polyamorous relationship with one another, though some assert that Joe was considered the patriarch of the clan. To say this case was poorly mishandled is an understatement!! Police "misplaced," evidence, the crime unit misused blood detection chemicals during the crime scene & also Robert's ectronic devices including computers, had been sent to the Secret Service forensic laboratory for analysis, but the detective took Robert's Blackberry from the forensics lab & literally gave it back to his wife before it was copied. It has since gone missing! There's too much to mention here, but also the FBI won't release the last bit of the blood specimen they have bc the case is still unsolved & there wasn't enough collected. It was also said that he had been drugged bc there was supposedly needle pricks on his arm, but autopsy toxicological tests revealed NO drugs in his body! Remember Price said he had blood on him bc there was blood all over the bed, he touched Robert checking for a pulse & applied pressure to the wounds, but actually there were only 3 very clean knife wounds in Robert's chest (1 pierced his heart,) & only 2 small drops of blood was found on the bed. A paramedic told detectives that it looked like Robert had been showered & redressed, but remeber police said Robert was SA assaulted, but it was found during autopsy that there was NO physical evidence that he was & only Robert's OWN semen was found on his body!! So no way could he have been showered besides, they would've found blood in the drain, wet hair & towels etc. The reason his phone was important is bc the detectives saw there were 2 emails saved to draft approx 11 pm, they called 911 at 11:49 pm & called Robert's wife at 12 am to tell her Robert had been stabbed in the back & to go to the hosp. She says Robert was stabbed in the chest & stomach. The knife that was next to the victim didn't match the wound sizes, but a knife that did match was found in Ward's bedroom. I didn't find if any blood or dna was found on that knife. There's no mistake something terrible & tragic happened in that night. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever know the full details. Imo, Dylan Ward seems to be the most likely suspect & either Price & Victor knew nothing about it & that's why Price came off as open in his interrogation OR maybe Price tampered with evidence & replaced the knife which explains why he would've touched the supposed knife on Robert. Maybe he protected their 3rd partner, maybe not. I don't believe anyone broke in & happened into Robert's room in an upscale neighborhood with no recent break in's. That makes no sense & there's no evidence suggesting that happened.
@rhanBo
@rhanBo Жыл бұрын
Some of what you are saying is definitely wrong. Robert’s own semen was found IN his OWN mouth and anus. That in itself is a sign of sexual assault. Rinsing the outside of his body would not get rid of the evidence inside his orifices. Not to mention, there were several things that weren’t even tested for in his toxicology (I.e. ketamine) so it can’t be said that he definitely wasn’t drugged, either.

Either this guy is innocent or he's the best actor I've ever seen. He is consistent, answers questions quickly w/out hesitation, it looks like he is going off of memory instead of having to make up an answer off the top of his head. I don't see any evidence of deception from what he's saying or his body language. I'd love to see The Behaviour Panel address this interview. The detective on the left is not very good. He keeps trying to imply that he's catching this guy out in a lie when he's not. His story stays consistent. This is unusual for someone who is trying to remember what lies he's told already, to keep his story straight. He's very confident. Also, the detective's inference that a gay guy can't have male friends and not fancy them is insulting and inappropriate. Like a straight guy can't have any female friends bcos he'd want to bone them all?

Not really. They were picking at minute points to a. See if the story changes and b. When/if it does they pick at it obnoxiously to rattle the guy. He kept cool but screwed up-minutely. Sometimes you have to pick at what you can and patiently take apart their bs. If you listen, this guy keeps screwing up his timeline and the minute details. They ask these questions to tie the suspect into a "story". If they're lying all of the inconsistencies will add up and be used against them. Bias? It's another tactic to try and get under the guy's skin. They came softly, forcefully, patronizingly, etc. Stop acting like a f**king KZbin detective who knows how everyone else is supposed to do their jobs cause you watch all kinds of true crime and now you, personally, know more than the f**king people who's job it is.
