I will say, the ability to complete the game is not a valid response to flaws in design. Not having played the game or others of its type, I can't say who was right in either direction, but if your building a game that so closely follows a theme of games, you need certain things in place to actually be a valid version of that game type and not just a cash grab garbage heap, which most of the climb games are.

Look up the term Fallacy in the context of debates. Also having watched a few of the jump game videos, the game definitely looks like it has some serious collision detection and control issues comparatively. Which is saying something considering most of those games are shit cash grabs.

It basically says that this game has very bad collission issues compared to other games in the genre, and i also noticed that the animations seem to be taken from a source, as i have seen those animations a lot of times, in other words, this game is a lazy excuse of a rage game (also i didn't play it yet but if he was correct and the death and falling animations are super slow, that's just even worse)

You know the worst part about this? Not the review, but the fact that back when Skyrim originally launched, it was such a big deal for me/my friend group to have *a* new game to play. Writing a bad review when you know the fault is entirely yours is kind of a bastard thing to do when reviews play so heavily into the algorithm that decides what games are promoted and what games are not. Especially for indie devs. I doubt a singular review will do much, but it's still a shit thing to do. Good for the dev for responding so professionally, but Rob honestly needs to be better.
