Soundbar for PC makes a lot of sense actually since your sitting right infront of your monitor most of the time. Traditional TV soundbars struggle sometimes due to how different everyones living room setup is but PC has a lot less varience in that regard. Makes it much easier for developers to get the tuning right

I bought this the day it dropped, it has been a gem for its size. For my small space connected to a lg 48 cx( pc console setup) it has been perfect. Sounds super clean and detailed, I also have the sb katana and razer sound bar and this one is better. The bass is rich and clean and surprisingly decent considering no dedicated subwoofer. Was worth the buy. If you need something to shake the house then this isn’t for you.

@@7DegreesOfFreedom if you are outputting to the soundbar with a digital signal you will want to give the soundbar full signal and cut away the volume using the soundbar. because the amp in the soundbar will have to work less to get the desired volume when giving it a louder sorce rather than making the amp work extra hard by giveing it a quiet signal and amplifying it to the desired volume and when the amp has to work less it should have a lower nose floor and possibly produce less distortion. I am just a random guy on KZbin so if you wish to learn more I would suggest looking in more than one place for verification.

No headphone jack? No analog input? I see both TOSLINK and ARC are labeled "TV" - are they independent inputs or does one override the other? Is it wall mountable? Panasonic's website does not have a manual listed and their product description (at least for Canada) is all vague marketing fluff with no actual details. How does it compare to other similar size and priced products like the well rated Sonos Beam? - which I have but don't really like due to it's buggy firmware/power management.

To make the "2nd monitor" issue moot, one thing you can do, is make the layout of the monitors only touch corners so the width of the mouse getting lost in the other "desktop" is only 1 pixel wide. This was my solution to fixing this on my HTPC

In general, you should keep window's volume at 100%, and adjust it through your amplifier/speakers. 1. Windows decrease volume digitally, in a way that degrades output audio quality. 2. Less stress on the amplifier circuitry that could result in distortions.

On my PC running HDMI to a TV I get weird audio volume behavior if Windows isn't at 100% volume. Basically the perceived volume will jump up and down seemingly randomly. I agree with the OP about volume settings as well. Send the most powerful signal possible to the speakers and turn down the volume at the speakers/headphones/TV/monitor.

I'm considering getting either this or the Yamaha C20a sound bar for my gaming setup. I wanna pair one of them with a set of studio speakers, and a sub. Likely the Edifier T5 for the sub, and either the Edifier R2000DB, or Edifier R1280DBS for the speakers. Can you do a comparison of the Panasonic soundslayer and the Yamaha C20a or just a review of the Yamaha C20a? They are both really good compact sound bars, its just that the soundslayer has some nicer features, but is also almost double the price of the C20a if your buying them new.

Good job Dmitri on flipping left and right for the viewers - pointing your right (our left) when you say left (3:54). You did miss at 3:49 but that only shows how hard this is to pull off perfectly.

Some feedback: disappointed you didn't mention the price. It's £278.00 in the UK and $300 over in NA. Do you think sound quality and experience provided is worth that cost? The (arguably) best rated separate speakers are the Creative Labs Gigaworks series, and they come in at 1/4 and 1/3 of the price of that sound bar. I feel that without mentioning the cost you're missing out a very critical part of the product.

my motherboard doesn't have an optical port, so my question is can I use hdmi port on my graphic card to power this soundbar other than using bluetooth?

Console gamers like me usually uses a home theater or a much more complex and better Sound with Subwoofers and wireless rear speakers. That sound bar is tiny and just meant to replace a cheap stereo pc speakers.

Any chance you have recommendations on HDMI cables? Specific brand? Ordered a Sony X950H looking into soundbars, much appreciated. Does 10 vs 18gbps make a difference? Not sure if it's marketing some call out Dolby vision others do not... Found some monoprice ultras 48gbps... probably overkill.

40 or 48gb is hdmi 2.1, that matters if youre going for 4k120fps, otherwise no it doesnt matter

@@bradhaines3142 Hey just saw this reply I appreciate since it was a year ago. I ended up getting the Monoprice Ultras 48gps ones they have been solid and all still work... I have had previous mono price crap out on me so I'll be keeping an eye...

Ohh you never got a turn to play with the Sound Blaster Katana! Your guy’s video on that soundbar is one of the reasons I ended up buying it. I’m sure it will kick this soundbar in the teeth haha

The only comparison that could be made would be audio fidelity, but even that comes with an asterisk due to the katana being an older device and lacking features that the Panasonic has (hdmi and atmos for example)

As a side note, in the video of favored peripherals, the katana has remained as a sound bar for Eber(sp?) Though I don't know if they have gotten to play with the panasonic

Get a Kef LSX for your desktop. Imo nothing comes close to the sound staging when gaming with that. I literally pinpointed the sound of gunshots coming from BEHIND me, which was surprising considering that these are front facing speakers.

I would assume the Dolby Atmos part is not necessarily for games to begin with and more has to do with audio video doing editing or your editing audio for video and you using Dolby or if you doing playback video playback or just plain old watching a movie
