After seeing this episode last week I went to try this place out last night. The food here was awesome, I had the chili chicken for an appetizer and the curry goat for our meal, both were amazing! The young ladies taking care of us were both so nice and friendly, along with one of the owners who came over to ask how we liked it. Amazing food, great service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

She probably has learned how over the years how not to get burnt. Takes a great deal of skill to make those doughnuts. Loved the food, looks so good.Never get up to the Dallas area, but if I should I've got to try it. And like Sonny said, food doesn't stay inside borders. Through the centuries, through migration, wars etc, different peoples and their foods have mingled with others, yet like Nepali food, they still have their own distinct flavors, ingredients etc. It's great to learn about other peoples and their cuisines.

@@-jank-willson in th Rig Veda (c. 1500 B.C.) it says, cow meat was consumed. Like most cattle-breeding cultures, the Vedic Indians generally ate the castrated steers, but they would eat the female of the species during rituals or when welcoming a guest or a person of high status. Since, all cultures have a nice story the mahabharata mentions a fable about a famine, a king, his conviction for the earth to produce nourishment, deliverance of a cow out of nowhere. #PowerOfMiracles P.s - kings name was Prithu

🥰This episode is of high standard, interms of people, talks, culture, food.. I'm a fan of this kinda episodes. Usually you try to say jokes, to be honest, they look pathetic to me. Expecting more like this episode.

Watching from Kathmandu,Nepal. Hey just want to let you know To try newari and most of ethnic groups have their own version of something special. Nepali food is too underrated.

But was this really Nepali food though?!?! I mean I'm talking about gundruk, saak, sadeko, bhaja, tarkari and such... That's quintessentially Nepalese food for me from what I've had at the traditional spots in Delhi. This mutton curry didn't have anything that was typically from Nepal.... Hmmmm

@@roshani1589 Ummm... But what makes it 'Nepali' is what I'm saying... That's the exact same way it is prepared in households in India, especially in the hills and the mountains. My intrigue is only if one unique ingredient was put that made it from that land, I'd be fine. For example, North East people have basic recipes but have their own smoked meats, wild herbs and veggies, and spices which makes it North Eastern and taste different. This curry had just the basic spices which I have in my kitchen and minus the offal/innards and the head, I can cook it today if I wanted to. THAT'S what I meant... Cheers!

Thank you for doing shoots of other culture's foods here in the US. what had brought me to your channel was your presence in Asia and Africa etc..... when you returned to the US i was sadly disappointed that the topics were fair foods and the such. shoots about niche cultures living here and creating as best they can what they would at their home countries is very interesting.
