We have to put things into context. In these crazy Corona times, these villagers living in remote areas will react the same way to a Moroccan coming from a different part of the country. I am Moroccan, and for instance, my mother won't let my brother who lives in a different city come into her house. They just talk through the door! No racism, it's just being extra cautious. These people are some of the most kind and generous of the country. Cheers, Mohamed

that's true , you can't just let strangers into your house , it would be actually racist if you think that people should trust just because you look different , but I don't think this was his intention tho

dude thats not racist , she just being cautious "social distancing" specially there not much hospitals there , thats so disrecptpful to call someone racist in there home
@KiteVanMan4 жыл бұрын
I was saying it lightheartedly, get a grip. Also I was speaking about the situation in general. i.e I have noticed more and more that people see my light skin and avoid me more than other people in the vicinity. Which technically is racist as they are making a judgment based on the colour of my skin. I don’t mind, they are just being logical.
@youwontbeelieve4 жыл бұрын
@@KiteVanMan lol its not , its the same situation you would avoid a chinese guy at the peak of covid back in january , im not going to take a risk , if you come from a hotspot im avoiding you its not racism , according to those villagers your coming from a hotspot
@KiteVanMan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know which is why I said it lightheartedly, a joke. Because there is some truth behind it as it’s my skin colour that is being used to make a decision. It’s stupid, I know. Put it like this: (hypothetically) There are 2 alleyways, one with a black guy and one with a white guy. I decide to walk down the alley with the white guy as I feel safer. Would that be racist?
@youwontbeelieve4 жыл бұрын
@@KiteVanMan yes thats racist , but its a wrong comparison , im not socially profiling you due to your skin color or ethnicity , im just avoiding you cuz you came from a virus hotspot , you could be black brown asian , you could be moroccan coming from europe and still will avoid you , nothing to do with race , but yeah i know you really didn't mean to say that but i felt like its somehow disrecptpful to say that inside someones house after welcoming you

No racism there man, it goes against religion, people are just scared of corona virus, I think you won't get the same hospitality in your country as in Morocco, I am well travelled man and I know well about it. But no matter where you are respect people and they well respect you in return, it doesn't matter if they are rich or poor or have a culture different than yours.

What do I need a license? Or permission from you? I will show what I want to show and I didn’t disrespect anyone. You are making you judgment from a short video clip of a couple of hours visit. Don’t you get that these people want potential tourists to see what they do and what is there. I had a nice time with the family and they enjoyed my presence. I can’t show everything on camera as some people don’t want to be filmed. Pisses me off judgmental pricks like you show up spout your mouth about a situation you have minimal information about.

That's what you need, locals to embrace you and show you their culture, not to be pestered every 5 minutes for drugs or prostitutes. Cannabis and opium are grown in the mountainous areas, perfect climate. The hippies flocked there in the 1960's, we saw some when we were there driving around in a Citroen 2CV with all the doors off and cow horns attached to the roof. You don't speak much French or Arabic mate.
