One problem with the van, it is front wheel drive, bit of mud or a 100mm drop off from solid road it no mud if it doesn't bottom out, your stuffed let alone snow. Comfy conversion though whilst waiting for the recovery to come.

Using pallet wood would scare me… it’s usually sprayed with chemicals to keep bugs away from ruining the wood and getting to whatever is sitting on the pallet…

Hi I've just found your channel and we're also planning a trip with the van to Fuerteventura with two dogs next March. Is it possible to get to the van during the ferry trip and leave the dogs in the van instead of kennels? Also would it be possible to sleep in the van as the cabins are so expensive?
