Ticla is a magical place. Took many trips there since 1981. Fun waves and olden Mexico culture mixed into a distant location.

Hello! My husband and I also made Ticla our main destination in the late 70's and early 80's. I wonder if we've ever met. His name was Mike. I do want to go with my kids and show them we're their dad and I spent so much happy times together. Hopefully I can go soon, maybe this winter. Ticla!!! 🏄🌅💓🐎

Man, I miss La Ticla! I was fortunate enough to spend some time there in my childhood! This video does a great job capturing it! Some day soon I'll have to make it back to one of those hammocks near the cabanas and eat camarones and homemade corn tortillas at Berta's restaurant!

Surfed there in ‘75 & ‘77 not many guys out a surf camp would bring a bus load and some guys would throw rocks at them they usually left PDQ. Me and Chris Dorsey from Long Beach were there for two weeks and no one around.

Hello! Ticla was my husband and my preferred destination in the 70's and early 80's. I wonder if we've met? His name was Mike. This was when in the first few years we had to cross the river without a road. This place was our home away from home. Many Texans came to surf as well as devoted surfers from all over. We met many over our years going there. Do you know Amalia and Emilio? I want to make it back for a special memorial.🏄🌅 The Chief riding in his horse was so awesome!!!🐎 Love Ticla and the people💓🏄🌅

In front of the surf spot there are some things called “ramadas” they are a long strip on the beach that has a palm roof, you rent a space and bring your hammock or a tent and just sleep on the beach, this costs about 7 dollars a night per person, but there are also cabins that are about 60 dollars a night
