Hey, young man! I'm 63 and fourth generation wheat farmer's daughter. Great, great grandparents moved to Idaho territory before statehood as pioneers and purchased land for 6.00 an acre. Our farm was 800 acres. I married a logger, and we've our own small ranch and live on open range, where livestock roams free even on roads. I would love to visit the mountain village of Ukraine someday. Reminds me of old Europe. Sadly my horse died 3 years ago. I drove both horses. I wouldn't be able to keep my calves on a tight chain like that they need to move around prefer stalls.

​@redjupiter2 I grew up on a farm in an European village and kept cows and raised calves for meat or to sell for meat. None in my village inckuding my family even chained newborn calves or stop them from nursing from their moms. They either ran free wirh moms or kept in a large fenced areas so they can play, lay. So Just because he is raiding them for meat, it fies not mean he should abuse and torture them by chaining them on so short chains.

If you were a farmer then please leave a comment as to Why Does He Keep The Cows and Calves chained up with no room to move about???...for the rest of us who are not farmers......Ive never seen this done on any other farm I have visited......This is considered Animal Cruelty and has been reported and Please don't say So They Wont Run Away...because We all can see if he can run a farm/...he can build fences outside......!

This is no "boy". This is a YOUNG MAN...and a gorgeous young man with a magnificent physique that is not "built" in a gym. This man is naturally lean and strong with a body that comes from hard work. I would have no problem bringing him home with me and introducing him to my parents. Nor would I have a problem joining him to work the field and tend to the livestock amid pristine countryside and grow old with him.

For people saying "don't comment about animal cruelty when u haven't worked on a farm", anyone can & should comment on it. And in my case I did work on a small dairy farm as a boy. These are veal calves shown here, kept in the dark so their flesh stays pale, movement limited so their flesh stays tender. There'd be no other reason to confine them so, & in the dark. Something else I learned thru living, most animals are sentient, same as people, or the cute pup he lets roam free. They have strong family bonds; mourn when separated from loved ones; respond to music; will even kick a ball around for play when not chained by the leg.

@@vismarklopez5392 - yes, it has to be translation (he might be using Google Translate). In Ukrainian there are multiple derivatives for male/man from youth to old - "hlopchik", "hlopez", "hlop". Hlopchick is young boy, and Hlop is mature man. But Hlopez might not have a good translation into English, whereas in Ukrainian it means neither young boy nor old man. Hlopez could be 12 or could be 25, it just means not a woman but no age range. And I'm wondering if he wrote in Ukrainian Hlopez, but Google translate interpreted is as boy. "Young" may have been added later per KZbin algorithm to suggest more clicks.

Very beautiful scenery. I would suggest that you do voice overs where you talk about what is being shown on the screen. And maybe a little more interaction with or description about the people. I found it interesting. The sound quality was not abrupt and distracting like many other videos are. Great steady filming. Keep it up.

They are most likely using these calves for veal. The chain keeps them inactive making their meat more tender. Nothing on this type of homestead is done by mistake.
