Since when do manufacturers list the 4 ohm output as the default power output? To me that is somewhat misleading to the casual specs reader.

I bought 3 of these for an affordable multi-room audio solution and they work pretty well. I have my secondary turntable hooked into one of them (via the line out of an amp) and it's a great way to throw on a record/stream and listen in several rooms. They lose connection from time to time and the app could be better but I saved 100s of dollars this route and am happy with em thus far.
@Channel33RPM2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I have not tried using a turntable with the amp, but I will. Do you go through a preamp?
@ribz4lunch2 жыл бұрын
@@Channel33RPM I use the line out of an old technics amp I had (probably from the 70s?) and then plug that into the Red/White input on the A50. Switching the Arylic to the 'Line In' setting and adding other A50s to that device's group does the trick! Signal is quieter than Bluetooth so I have to turn the amps up but it gets the job done. A pre-amp would save a lot more space, I'm sure. Just wanted to save some money given how much I had dropped on A50s and in-ceiling/wall speakers 😅

Seems like the perfect device for someone who wants a good amp, but doesn’t have a lot of space. Im just happy with my ‘76 Pioneer sx-650

Nice review Frank. Wont be replacing my Onkyo amp in the music room, but might be good in other rooms. Keep on streaming !! haha

Thanks for the review Frank. Could be an option for me not too far down the road. When my son moves back out, I will get my music room back. I plan on making some changes to my setup.

Hi Frank, I'm considering the new Arylic b50 but was curious what you think of it. I have a Fluance RT-81 with powered Edifier R1280t speakers and would like to be able to set up some type of bluetooth device from the Fluance to my ATH-M 50xBT2 headphones. This is a steep price though for bluetooth, however I do need some kind of amplifier for volume control. The b50 seems to fit this need, but curious if you had other suggestions, or if you recommend the b50?

Definitely sounds like an option for a bedroom listening experience, but not a main system. I am a little more interested in the Arylic streamer only piece as a source for a desktop headphone amp. It seems like that might be a decent budget streamer option.
@Channel33RPM2 жыл бұрын
The streamer/preamp is great. I use it all the time.

Will the Arylic A50+ be a good match for my Wharfedale Evo 4.1? The specs are: nominal impedence 8 ohms, sensitivity (2.83V @ 1M) 87dB, recommended amplifier power 25-100W, bass driver 5″(130mm) woven Kevlar cone, treble driver 30x60mm AMT. I would appreciated any feedback you could provide.

This is a off topic question do you collect cassette tapes and what are your thoughts about the format today? I have a Nakamichi CR4 cassette deck paired with a Rega Elex R Amp And Dynaudio Bookshelf Speakers and the sound is very great. The high increased prices for vinyl records today i buy more new cassette tapes for 4-8 Euros more than double the price for vinyl record.

I´m searching for a solution which can act as a preamp and amp. Is there any available?
@Toogoodtobetrue4582 жыл бұрын
What makes it a digital amp? over priced for what the amp does and “sounds” like questionable sound quality. Small form factor might or might not be a good thing. Sony str dh190 is about 200 dollars with the Sony core bookshelf on sale at 88 makes the arylic and speakers a bad choice for the money. Sorry I hate to be a negative Nelly.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 i see. There is one analog input. Nothing against sponsors -

Just stumbled on this video, I was planing on buying this unit to pair of outdoor speakers (sonance 54) do you think this will be enough power for that type of setup
@Channel33RPM2 жыл бұрын
It's fairly loud (good enough for a small to medium sized room). I have not tried it outdoors, but it should have enough power.

Not really a Audiophile product, but if you want to just listen to music just for fun it seems fine. It also has no Optical connection either, but saying that, it is a reasonable cost product.
@ribz4lunch2 жыл бұрын
It has an optical connection! (see diagram at 1:14)

It's more for the casual user. There is an optical connector, but I did not try it.

I'm a bit confused by the mention of the Pre-Amp and what function it serves...and if it's something I might need. I am interested in whole house audio on a budget. My last house was almost 6,000 square feet and I was using a Control4 audio matrix to drive 8 zones. It was killer for background cocktail party music. But, because it was part of a full home automation system which cost $60 - 70k, it's outside the budget for my current project. I'm starting a remodel of a large apartment in Barcelona that I am essentially "flipping" and don't want to spend Control4 type money. If I were to go with Acrylic, can anyone give me an idea of what I should consider (amp-wise) to set up 6 zones with excellent mesh wi-fi coverage? Two of the zones would have a small sub. Two zones (the powder room and entry hall) could have a single stereo speaker. Any advice would be welcome! Thanks.
@thomasraven2 жыл бұрын
You can get cheap digi amps for a lot cheaper than that. I bought one for less than $40 for a garage system. If I'm going to spend $200 or more, I'm moving up to a real amp. Why go digital if you've invested so much in analog sources? Besides, the output ratings on these little amps are total BS. Their wattage has nothing to do with actual SPLs.
